Wonderful home with great views. The road to get there is a bit rough, but it's worth the effort. Fairly close to town and the lake. I would highly recommend.

Amazing views. Really nice home with plenty of space. Road to property could use some work as it is rough.

Thank you for your wonderful review! We're so glad you enjoyed the amazing views and found the home spacious and comfortable. We appreciate your feedback about the road — it’s something the neighborhood has been actively working on, and we're happy to share that it has recently been improved for a smoother drive. That said, we still recommend using a heavy vehicle or 4-wheel drive to ensure the best experience, especially during inclement weather. Thanks again for your feedback, and we’d love to welcome you back in the future!

Beautiful views and lovely home!

A wonderful location to view the river and hear the birds in the early morning with a cup of coffee. Really loved the views from the main suites and living room were amazing! Extremely clean home and they provided great games for the family to play during our visit. We enjoy the video arcade and shuffle board. Highly recommend this location for anybody staying with family.

Outstanding!!!

We brought our families up for a pre Thanksgiving trip. The cabin is exactly as featured. Truly outstanding and beautiful. The winding road was a little scary in the dark but after traveling it a few times that went away. We loved the house Highly recommend

Perfect!

We feel so lucky and blessed to have stayed here. Magical views, gorgeously decorated and built property, luxury and isolation at its best. There is a house being built next door that will share this view won’t be the same much longer.

Kim, thank you for the 5-star review and we are glad you enjoyed your stay at High Falutin Hideaway. The cabin built next door fortunately does not obstruct the magical views looking over Beavers Bend State Park and the Mountain Fork River. We look forward to hosting you future stay in our area. Beautiful cabin…

We had an amazing time. The views were breathtaking and the cabin was clean and had everything we needed. I read the prior reviews that mentioned the cabin didn’t have seasonings or sharp knifes so we took our own which were not needed. The owners obviously read the reviews and addressed this issue. I would highly recommend this as a family getaway.

Spectacular! Our family trip was amazing. Beautiful views, perfectly designed house and close to everything. What else can you ask for? A hot tub, video games, a chefs kitchen and spacious and comfortable furnishings throughout. We will return again. And again.

Mother/Daughter Getaway

Enjoyed the cabin, decks, fireplace, hot tub! Sewer needs to be pumped. Spray was very unpleasant. Note: One bag for the cornhole game was missing when we got there.

Nice place with great decks and views. Enjoyed the hot tub. Solid wood floors and open layout. Ordered the large firewood package, but disappointing that there were no matches or fire starter provided. Host said I needed to go to town and pick that up. Host said GPS is not accurate to getting to house, and instead to follow written directions. This caused delay, and Google Maps worked excellent. Coffee available was a big Costco Folders container with spoon in it. For 1,100 per night fee, would have expected better service, attention to small details from property owners / manager.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for highlighting what you enjoyed, including the decks, views, hot tub, solid wood floors, and open layout. We appreciate your comments regarding the firewood package. This service is provided through a third-party vendor, and an email was sent well in advance of your arrival noting that matches or fire starters are not included. We provide written directions to all of our properties because GPS accuracy can vary in this area; however, we’re glad Google Maps worked well for you and will continue refining our guidance to help minimize delays for future guests. Regarding the coffee provided, we offer a complimentary starter supply of Folgers drip coffee for guest convenience. We appreciate your suggestion and will be happy to convey your feedback to the cabin owner. We strive to deliver a high level of service and attention to detail, and your feedback helps us improve. Thank you again for staying with us, and we appreciate you choosing our property.

Nice Place

The house was very nice, very clean and quiet. The only issue we had was the refrigerator was out. The refrigerator and freezer was only cool. The freezer wouldn’t even keep ice. We bought a couple small ice chest and problem solved. I would definitely stay here again and we highly recommend
