This was the perfect spot for our weakened trip to the Charlottesville area. The grounds were quiet and beautiful and the location was close to all the area activities: downtown, hikes, vineyards. Matt, the groundskeeper, was incredibly helpful and responsive. Check in and out was breeze.

Charming Carriage House

Charming room with amazing views on an estate in the heart of wine country. Estate manager was great at communication and made check in and check-out a breeze. We will definitely book here again on our next trip.

Excellent location and comfortable

We really enjoyed the expansive views and convenient location. We have stayed in many rentals in the area and thought this spot had a lot of advantages - again the view, and also access to grocery stores not too far away, brewery, favorite wineries. The studio was very roomy and clean. Not much for cooking - would benefit from a toaster oven that fits more than bread and a pan you can use on the hot plate. We would definitely stay here again.

Weekend Retreat

We booked all three properties at Ramsay Estate to attend a wedding in Crozet, and we couldn’t be happier! They were even better than described and perfect for our family gathering of 12 adults. The Carriage House is large and bright, with a darling porch overlooking a magnificent view. Beautiful place for late night champagne and morning coffee. The bed was extremely comfortable. Best part of it was the sense of peace and serenity. A lovely getaway that we highly recommend!

Great Place

A perfect home base for our trip which was mostly hiking and breweries with a few trips into Charlottesville. The kitchenette is nice for being able to have some food and breakfasts, etc, but would have limitations if you prefer a full blown kitchen. The property is beautiful and Whit, the property manager, is very responsive and helpful.

Country getaway

This was a wonderful getaway from city life. The carriage house is comfortable, well-decorated and clean. The view from the back balcony is amazing. I did not want to leave. And while you feel like you’re in the country, it’s really not far from Charlottesville.
