The property was perfect for our family to get away and explore during our Thanksgiving break. We loved everything about the home and the area. A couple days of riding trails and relaxing by the fire was just what we needed.
Wonderful property. Best part is the seclusion. Great hiking, beautiful scenary. But at short 30 minute drive you can be in town, but we loved being OUT OF TOWN
The location of this house is great for trail riding!
The house was clean and and comfortable. We will definitely check if this place is available the next time we visit.
I would rent here again in a heartbeat. This was the most lovely home, the most accommodating hosts, and a beautiful, quiet location. We had easy access to the trails and that is why we came.
Nice property, interior was neat and stocked well. Beds were comfortable. Connect four game was a hit. Was great, I enjoyed the little to no cell service! Would have no problem returning for another stay.
Very cute cabin with all the amenities you could want for an awesome stay. Very helpful guide inside to show all the awesome watering holes in the area and other sites to see. Can ride ATVs directly to the trails from the house which is pretty amazing. Spotless house and really gives you a cabin in the wooods feeling. House owners are very attentive and helpful! Will definitely be staying again!
Great communication with owner. Squeaky clean. Secluded quiet beautiful location in the forest. Tastefully decorated. Well-stocked kitchen, great beds and excellent showers. Highly recommend! Thanks Alicia for a wonderful visit.
I would highly recommend staying here and we will definitely return. The house was clean, well stocked, great location and the host had the best communication and recommendations for the area. The loaction was so nice and quite. It was at the end of the main road so there isnt much traffic. We were able to park our truck and trailer get in our SxS and ride everywhere. So many amazing trails, waterfalls and views to be had in this area. Its a must stay!!
It is great to be able to come back to this amazing house every year. The location is perfect for us! The accommodations are wonderful! Being able to wash our swimsuits and clothes every night in the full-size laundry room keeps me happy. The dehumidifier helps me so much with my heart issues and we all sleep sounding in the comfortable beds. And the new Starlink tower is great for online use and being able to use our cell phones. The owners are very helpful and considerate. They continue to keep the house stocked with every amenity and in great condition. When we arrive there we just let out a big sigh of contentment! Thanks for everything Mark and Alicia!
The Miss property was everything described and more!
The house was fresh and thoroughly cleaned upon our arrival. Everything you needed for your stay was there! We appreciated the FULLY stocked kitchen and assortment of games! The beds were incredibly comfortable and they even had bed rails ro use if needed.
The property outside was well maintained and in a beautiful secluded area near the creeks. The riding trails we're close to the property, which allowed us to take a break and swing by for lunch without wasting too much time.
There were so many thoughtful touches, such as the welcome goodies, detailed “how/what/when/where” binder, and personal bathroom tolietries, and a hand written welcome note. Alicia texted throughout our stay to check in and make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.
You can see how much pride they take into what they do. They have put so much love into their home and we were so appreciative that they were willing to share it with us! Thank y'all for everything! Is was absolutely amazing!

We had everything we could possibly need and then some.Mark and Alicia made us feel at home and went above to help us out with everything. We will be back. Thanks,Darin
Amazing little cabin with amazing host. Listen to their recommendations you will not be disappointed. Contacted them for a couple of things that came up nothing major more of an FYI and they were quick to respond. Great water pressure and even with 6 of us showering off the trail dust we never ran out of hot water. 1st time we had a kitchen that actually had everything we needed. The only thing I would say is if you don’t like over head lights on at night take a small lamp there are no table lamps in the two living areas so it was dark unless we left the hall or kitchen light on at night. We would book again.
The property was clean and very comfortable. We loved that we could get out and ride but then relax by a nice bonfire with no traffic around. Host was amazing. We cannot wait to go back again.
Rode the Wolf Pen gap trail system and surrounding forrestry service land for 4 days. Located on the south east side of the system which is perfect for our plan of riding. Plenty of room for our 2 trucks an trailers with alot to spare. The beds are the most comfortable we have slept on in any cabin we have rented.
The cabin was definitely a nice place to stay. The cabin was clean, stocked, and ready to be used when we got there and the instructionscwere very clear. No fuss, just a simple and delightful stay.
Really enjoyed our time here. It had everything we needed and was the perfect location for our trip. The owner communicated perfectly. We will be back! It’s perfect for anyone wanting to ride Wolf Pen Gap and all the surrounding areas. I loved the location to the area swimming holes. It was great to cool off after a long day of riding.
Love the house very well equipped with everything you need. Alicia was very careing she checked on us and gave us lot's of information. The house is located near all the trails to ride. Information in the book at the house helped us alot. You will not be disappointed with this location and the owners. Thanks for everything.
The location was great! Close to the river and very peaceful. We saw 2 "teenage" bobcats have an afternoon romp across the road! Really appreciated all the amenities: great bathrooms, comfy beds and furniture, ceiling fans (and extra box fans) dishwasher, dehumidifier, gas stove, plenty of bath and bed linens, nice dishes, washer and dryer worked great. The "info notebook" had so much useful information and directions. We definitely plan to stay there again! Thank You Mark and Alicia! Of all of our previous VRBO stays you were the best in providing great service and comfort!!

About the host

We purchased this property in 2019 because we love all things being outdoors! We enjoy camping, hiking, and swimming in the nearby swimming holes! Coming here is a time for our family to unplug, relax, and enjoy being together.
Why they chose this property
Our family has been coming to this area for years! It became a Thanksgiving tradition to go on a family backpacking trip on the Caney Creek Trail just 20 minutes from this property. We spend 2 or 3 nights on the trail and then head home. We loved the area so much, my husband started looking to purchase a home for a getaway! We found this perfect location and love coming here! The drive through the mountain is breathtaking, the fall colors are beautiful, and the seclusion from the hustle and bustle is the break we didn't know we always needed.
What makes this property unique
The view from the living room and family room caught our eyes immediately! We've looked out the windows and watched deer walk across the property! The porch provides an opportunity for great conversation while enjoying the breeze and shade from the large trees on the property.
