One of the original homes built in Kinloch, this family holiday home is located in the heart of Kinloch, overlooking the Kinloch Marina and entrance. A deck opening off the lounge offers stunning views of the surrounding locality, the marina, and with views of Lake Taupo across Whangamata Bay – especially in the evenings with the spectacular sunsets. A BBQ and seating on this area provides a great area for socialising.
Amenities within two hundred metres of this property include the foreshore of Lake Taupo with good swimming and picnic facilities, the Kinloch Marina and boat ramp (almost adjoining), general store, a restaurant, two public tennis courts, the starting point of the W2K walk, a children’s playground, ducks and swans for children to feed and the iconic Kinloch pedestrian bridge. Another cafe, restaurant, 10 hole public golf course, the Kinloch International Golf Course, and more tennis courts are within 500 metres. Kinloch has numerous walkways, reserves and tracks ideal for family walks and bike rides (bring your bikes). Kinloch is handy to the great trout fishing area of the Western Bays. Taupo township with further tourist attractions is only 20kms away (15 minutes drive), and the ski fields are a one and half hour drive.
This stucco home has 3 double bedrooms in the main part of the house, with facilities to sleep another 2 people in the attached self contained games room/flat. There are two bathrooms, and 2 separate toilets. The Bach has gas heated water. While iconic features of a Kiwi bach still remain, the original 1960's kitchen has just been replaced with a modern open plan kitchen / dining / lounge area. This is a comfortable holiday home with a superb location and unsurpassed views of the marina and lake.
The section has plenty of off street parking for cars and boats, and has an outdoor fish bench (for those in luck!).
