We loved our stay at Ellen’s Historic Guest House. The location in Midway was perfect for walking to dinner and window shopping. The beds were comfortable and the mini fridge and coffee station were perfect for our needs.
This is one of our favorite places to stay! The home is so sweet, just perfect for us. The location cannot be beat, walking distance to wonderful restaurants and bars and quick drive to even more. Also, very convenient to Keeneland! This is our 3rd stay. We’ll be back!
This property was exactly what we needed. While visiting the area for a wedding, we also desired some quiet down time. The property offered just that. No television, no distractions. It is as advertised; a historic home that is wonderfully decorated. The host was so kind and approachable. We had a wonderful stay.

It was so nice having you. I’m glad it was restful. Thank you for choosing my place.
Fun area and responsive host. Property pretty much as described. Very eclectic, kinda felt like some of the English properties I’ve visited. I really appreciated having coffee. The first night I heard some trains but must have filtered it out thereafter.
We love, love, love staying here! It’s beautiful, comfortable and just steps from everything in Midway. We love staying here! Ellen is very gracious accommodating. Can’t wait to stay here again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this charming and unique place. We loved the original features of the house, and the location was perfect for walking to restaurants and shops. Ellen is a wonderful host and artist and our stay at the house made our trip extra enjoyable.

Lovely guests!!! Enjoyed having cyclists stay with me doing the Horsey 100 :)))
We stayed here for the recent Railbird festival. It was clean, cute and good for our needs of this trip since we were not going to be there for meals and things.
I loved being in this cozy, historic home. So refreshing being somewhere with history and personality. Ellen is an absolute joy, and being surrounded with her artwork made me smile every day. The beds are comfy, the little coffee nook and mini fridge is such a nice, hospitable touch. The location is perfectly centered between Keeneland and The Horse Park. Also, easy to get to Buffalo Trace for those bourbon lovers. Downtown Midway had a surprising number of resteaunts to choose from in walking distance. And do NOT miss going to your host's charming art gallery before dinner. Absolute gem.
Midway is such a rare jewel! The Railway Guesthouse felt like home from the time we arrived! Ellen is an amazing person , so lovely inside and out!!! We can’t wait to come back “home”

You were delightful guests!!! Thank you so much, Jessica.
Look forward to seeing you again.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Ellen is an excellent host and accommodated our every request with gladness. The atmosphere and decor of this lovely home takes one back to another time in old Midway. It’s walkable to all of the best dining and shopping in downtown Midway. The staircase does have steep stairs, and some may find the shower a little small, but neither were issues for us. The rooms were comfortable. We were provided a small fridge, single cup coffee maker and tea kettle with great tea and coffee selections. There were so many cute touches. We will be returning for sure.
We booked this property the weekend of the derby. It was perfect for us. Everything is well thought of- and just absolutely charming. Property owner is accessible and wonderful to communicate with- we will definitely rebook in the future ❤️
Home built in early 1830s in a nice / quiet town. Very clean and comfortable. Ellen was a wonderful host.
