Eldorado Retreat, Time to relax

Welcome to our piece of Paradise. Awaken to the sound of Tuis or listen to the surf, watch the Geese fly up the Estuary. Take the children down the path to the harbourside for safe swimming or building sandcastles. Two boat ramps in close proximity, or 10 mins with your golf trundler to the nearest course.
Kennedy Park is only a short stroll to the end of the street where tennis courts and a playground are situated.

Great location and house in Pauanui

As usual loved our stay here. Great house, interesting layout and several ‘withdrawal’ places with the upstairs bedrooms. Great deck area. Immediate access to the estuary, and a short walk to he ocean beach. Hope to stay again soon.

Great place to stay

House was spotlessly clean when we arrived, which is always a great first impression. Suited our needs well with a couple of young children (11 & 9). Everything you need is in close proximity. We’ll definitely be back again.

Second Visit - excellent

This was our second visit to this property and as before, it was very tidy and clean. We like the location with a glimpse of the harbour and walkable to the shops etc. Plenty of parking and space for the teenagers!

This is a great house. It's actually better than it looks in the photos. It has two bedrooms in the main house and a sleepout that was perfect for our teenager. It's close to the estuary with a nice slice of view. It's also an easy walk or bike to the beach, skate park etc. The price to stay was about right.

Perfect Spot

Really love where the property is situated. Short stroll to the estuary or a bit longer walk to the boat ramp. The house is well equipped for a family of different ages. We spend alot of time out on the deck in the shade of the covered roof. Outdoor shower was very handy after a swim.

Home away from home

We had a lovely stay at this home. It's got everything you need and is very clean. Our adult daughter and her partner stayed with us and had privacy in their own spacious room over the garage with it's own access. Three excellent bedrooms, which is sometimes hard to find. Easy to use outdoor area with a view of the estuary. Another lovely week in Pauanui. Thanks Peter

Great house

We had a great stay. The stairs are steep and not suitable for young children or older people. Views are lovely. House is so well equipped .. great plates and glasses etc. dishwasher. Nice to have three queen beds to stop the teenagers arguing over who gets good beds. Great outdoor living. If it was dog friendly it would be perfect!

Perfect location for everything

Amazing location to be based - walking distance to surf beach, estuary and shops. We didn’t use sleepout but would be very handy for teens or extras wanting their own space. Great outdoor decking and shade. Be mindful that stairs are steep and don’t have railing so not suitable for young kids.

El Dorado Leader - Yes a wee bit of Paradise

Well we love it. It faces the Estuary which we like ; has direct pathways to the ocean beach as well. House is cute as can be, wooded inside and very friendly, with an excellent kitchen and dining table area. The sitting/tv area intimate and welcoming. Bedrooms well furnished and the beds very comfortable. Outside it is intriguing, with wrap around decking and delightful outdoor eating and sitting areas. The weather was absolutely Pauanui Summer for our first week, so Beach, golf, bike riding, ferry trips and more.

As others have said, the photos didn’t give it justice. Good location to the harbour and as with Pauanui generally, everything is in walking distance. The house worked really well for the five of us. The outdoor areas are excellent. We had seven days straight fine weather so were hardly inside! I would say that the two upstairs bedrooms are up some fairly steep stairs so would not suit anyone with mobility issues. The bach has every appliance you could need, great outdoor furniture and the outdoor shower was perfect after coming back from the beach.
