Taraview Cottage - Fully self contained

Great central location when exploring the Wairarapa. Taraview is situated in a rural setting with fabulous view of the Tararua ranges 2kms from Greytown and a 10 minute drive to Martinborough
Romantic place to stay for couples as it has a huge claw foot bath big enough for 2 and yet also great place to stay for a couple with kids and a dog with half an acre of private fully fenced land to run about on.
Kept warm in the winter months with a log burner.

Dogs are welcome just bring something for them to sleep on and we ask you please do not leave them unattended at the cottage unless crated.

We stayed at this cottage 24 years ago after our Church Wedding in New Zealand. We returned to celebrate our 25th anniversary ( we had a civil Wedding a year earlier in the Philippines.) Our stay this time brought back many memories. We are planning to return in 5 years for our 30th anniversary!

A lovely relaxing stay

We had a wonderful winter getaway, it was freezing outside, but we loved staying in by the fire with everything we needed to enjoy being inside for the weekend.

This was a wonderful place to disconnect from the spinning, racous world and connect with calming nature. The gardens are wonderful and great to walk amongst. Our host was aware that we might be a bit cold because of the temperature (the Kiwi summer had disappeared). The wood shed was found and a warm fire was built.

The cottage had a lovely characterful vibe but with all the comforts of a modern building. The garden was gorgeous and we were able to sit out under the fruit trees for meals. Loved the high ceiling in the lounge with mezzanine floor. Friendly helpful hosts, with extra welcoming touches when we arrived, such as home baked treats for the dog. Perfect for our family Christmas, thank you!
