A very clean private room with freshly polished flooring located at the end of the garden. The room though small, was well laid out with nice refined artistic decor and touches. It had everything you would need for a short stay. At the front it had a nice private deck with seating which would be lovely in a summer's evening.
This is a simple little one roomer.
Comfortable, clean and tidy.
Great location.
Just one thing spoilt it for us was all the noise from the owners and their guests during the day while we were trying to relax.
I thought the paying guests should have been given more consideration.
What a brilliant location. Tucked un at the back of the main section, far away from main house yet not to far. Upon entering we were TOTALLY in awe of the layout and the decorations. Very suitable to the township. Being cosy was right up there. All amenities in excellent order, including a fridge that was tucked away behind a door keeping the usually fridge noise to a minium. Especially not audible during sleeping.
Would recommend to anyone visiting the Martinbourough, Geytown, Carterton area.

Carterton stay
Beautifully presented and spotlessly clean. As can happen I didn't get any check in information. When I mentioned this to the husband he told me that Chrissy always sent it out and I needed to learn to read! Not a good start after an 8 hr drive to get there. The bed was very comfortable for 1 but for 2 extremely bouncy so if anyone moved it was like being out at sea in a rubber dingy in a storm. Lounge chairs very uncomfortable to sit in for any length of time. Loud ticking clock - took the batteries out. Take care stepping into the room from outside as the mat slips under your feet on the polished floor. Minuscule amount of milk, coffee and sugar, had to get more ourselves even though we booked for 3 nights. Hubby asked for a replacement for the insect spray as it had run out and was very rudely asked "What are you doing here" when he went to the door. Booked 3 nights but only stayed 3. Very dissapointing
Was spotless and comfy bed but a couple of things I wish I had paid more attention to. Layout meant the bed was close to the fridge which meant I heard humming on and off which along with ticking clock ( I removed battery) was annoying as I’m noise sensitive. I wanted to work on laptop but chairs were not comfortable for working from. Ok for sitting at breakfast for but not suitable for work.
Nice shower and water pressure and again spotlessly clean but was a bit chilly with no heater in bathroom.
Travelling alone I would have liked a way of securing door from inside as keypad entrance is convenient but meant anyone who knew code could access.
We had the great pleasure of staying for two nights in your wonderful home! Would recommend this for anyone interested in a weekend getaway in the Wairarapa
Peaceful getaway overlooking a beautiful garden and decor to dream off.
Hi Chrissie,
I want to say thank you for the lovely stay. It's certainly a place of paradise that you have there.
Beautiful decor, stunning garden, and so private. The outdoor deck is just a great place to relax with a wine and cheeseboard after a day of exploring the sites if Martinborough, Lake Ferry, Featherston and Greytown.
I enjoyed my time away and I'm happy to recommend your little getaway retreat.
