Beautiful log cabin sits completely secluded in a quiet, wonderfully refreshing mountain site. Cabin is located near Stanton Kentucky. Easy access to town, groceries, stores, and restaurants and Red River Gorge and Daniel Boone National Forest. Just 15-20 minute drive to Natural Bridge & the Gorge. Cabin has all the great amenities of home including central AC/heat, satellite TV, wood burning stone fireplace, modern appliances, washer/dryer, porch furniture and a gas grill. There is a fire pit with benches outside for roasting s'mores or hot dogs! Has 2-BR & 2-BA. One private bedroom is on the main level and the 2nd private bedroom is upstairs. Both bedrooms have a queen bed and private full bath with tub/shower combo. This Cabin sleep 6 people if the memory foam sleeper sofa is utilized. The open Loft has an air hockey table, pin ball machine & Atari video game, and a sleeper sofa with a memory foam mattress.
The driveway is paved, but is steep. Parking at the bottom of the hill may be necessary in icy conditions. Road up to Heaven's Gait is a gravel hill and a 4-wheel or all-wheel drive vehicle is necessary, but the seclusion and privacy makes it well worth the while! Come see for yourself!

Loved the house and the remote location. If you need WI-FI be advised that there is none and the cell coverage is very spotty at the cabin. You absolutely need all wheel or 4 wheels drive to get up the drive. House was clean and very well maintained. Beds where comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

We appreciate your feedback and we are pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay and found the property to be clean and comfortable. Your comments regarding the location are noted and will be taken into consideration for future guests. We are delighted you plan to return!
Access to cabin was easy with well laid out directions. Some simple amenities would be nice...like a towel hook/rack in the bathroom. fireplace was a bust as the Lenox firebox unit was small and the fan unit under the firebox did not work nor was there a flue damper. It would be really nice to provide directions of use/care of the fireplace & provide at least some starter pile of firewood.
Beautiful location. I did find that a lot of mouse droppings all over, even on the silverware and pans. You def must clean things before using. Critters are expected in secluded cabins. I don’t think there was WiFi… I didn’t get a great service. Truthfully exactly what I wanted. I’d stay again.. and will be back this winter… just for the views and hikes near by

My son and I went there as a man’s escape and some hiking and quiet time and we were not disappointed! Fantastic log home and a private very steep driveway and hill ( 4x4 ) is definitely recommended . The area is so beautiful and quiet, the only down side is no WiFi and cell service is not good at best !
Thanks so much for allowing us to visit your log home
My family of 3 really enjoyed this cabin. Absolutely beautiful from top to bottom, and was really clean. Kitchen had everything you would need to cook just about anything. The gravel hill getting up is pretty steep but not too bad. The wood fireplace in the living room was a huge plus. Enjoyed game night by the fire with the family every night. Would stay again forsure!

Beautiful areaea and home
I myself clean rentals and this was not very clean. Haur in bath tub/shower and hadn't been swept well at all. And the little touches would have been nice, such as coffee, and toiletries. Jo we brought our own. But little things will make for return stays. The view is amazing!

Beautiful Property, Poor Communication & Customer Service
It’s unfortunate that I have to leave a low rating because the property itself is beautiful and the setting is stunning but the communication of management and the customer service is lacking to say the least.
The check-in process was unnecessarily complicated and tedious. I put the street address provided in the listing in my GPS only to discover upon arrival that the GPS cannot take you to the exact address. I call the host and explain the situation and she tells me that I need to check in first at the office that is a 30-minute drive away (there was no mention of this in the arrival instructions). Then I find out that the cabin can only be accessed with an off roading vehicle (in the listing it only says at the very bottom that a 4-wheel drive may be necessary—that is an understatement). My group had to haul all of our things by hand up an incredibly steep hill to the cabin (had we known that we would have had to do that in advance, we would have packed very differently).
All this being said, after we got settled in, we had a great time at the cabin and thoroughly enjoyed the stunning scenery. Everything was great for the rest of the stay.
Then after arriving home, I discover that we left some
items in the cabin, I write management about this and ask if I can pay for them to send the items to me, they respond with “we don’t care to send items so you’ll have to go to USPS and pay for a label and send us the label first”…wow so much for southern hospitality...

Thank you for the feedback. We're glad that you enjoyed your time at the cabin. We are sorry for the miscommunication on checking in. Our listing is clear that a 4-wheel or all-wheel drive is required, not just recommended. The rental agreement that is agreed to when booking an item states that "we are not responsible for items left in cabins, but if guest sends a prepaid label we will ship them." We do not have a post office, UPS, or FedEx in this area to just pop into to send items from, which is why we ask for a prepaid label to be sent. The business owner did package the item and took it to the nearest post office and returned it at her cost.
Our stay was wonderful! Definitely need 4x4 to get up to the cabin. Very spotty service once you get close to the cabin but the directions given by the owners are very accurate and easy to follow once off the highway.
Cabin was very nice and clean! Beautiful view. We ended up getting a decent cell signal (AT&T), which was a bonus for us! Driveway is no joke, but our Atlas Cross Sport made it up! Would definitely stay here again!!
Our family had a wonderful stay at Heaven's Gait! Very clean and perfect for our family of 4. Enjoyed the kids having the loft to play in. We will be back!
- Four-wheel drive is a must, but location/view from deck is amazing
- Had everything we needed, even games and extra towels
- The signs getting to the cabin could be updated, had to jump out of the truck to lift the sign to see which direction Heaven's Gait was.
- 15 minutes from Kroger's and 30 minutes from most of the major trails/restaurants
-Overall, great stay!
We loved our stay in this cabin. First it was VERY clean, which was so appreciated. The views were magnificent, but there wasn't much area outside for children to play, as the cabin is built at the top of a steep hill and the woods are right up to the house. Everything in the property info was just as specified . . . including the extremely steep climb to the cabin. Our van made it to the top; but it was a bit stressful. Be sure you factor in this before you reserve the cabin. We would not have been able to carry all of our luggage, etc to the top, as there were 6 of us, and we had quite a bit of stuff. Communication with the property manager was prompt and polite, as we had a couple of things that needed to be communicated while we were there. She was very easy to work with, as well. I'd stay in this cabin again, if we ever travel to this area in the future.
The property was just a described. It was beautiful, peaceful and I absolutely loved that there was no wi-fi or cell reception. We got to unplug and relax 😌
This cabin was lovely! It was exactly what we wanted! We were talking plans to come back as we left the driveway. The rental process and communication with management couldn’t have been easier. 10/10 would recommend.
