My family and I loved our trip to South Haven! Carrie offered great communication and the house was perfect for our family of 5. Very clean and well stocked. Our favorite feature was that it is just a quick walk to the beach! Looking forward to returning!

This property has so much charm and felt so warm and welcoming from the minute we walked in the door! We especially enjoyed the outdoor space. We bbq’ed, relaxed and hung out around the bonfire! Also the sunsets in SOHA are a must see and from this location you can be there in no time!It’s very close to the beach and downtown. We rented a cart and were able to zoom around to places within a couple minutes. But if you’re a walker… it is very doable!!!People walk by the house and it’s like you’ve know them for years! We couldn't have found a better place for our family trip.First of all, communication and information was key to organizing and we had the best possible.Upon arrival, we even found a welcome basket with goodies and everything we would need for a great stay.The location of the property was perfect, the layout was great and the house in general was just so charming.We would strongly suggest for others to give it a try for a wonderful stay.We had the best time!

We just returned from our second stay at Ashwood Cottage and it was wonderful. This is a historic home that has been thoughtfully updated while retaining many of it's original elements. COZY is the best word to describe it. Immaculate with abundant windows that bring in the sunshine. We stayed during a typical autumn week (cool nights and mornings) and the living room gas fireplace was such a bonus! Carrie is uber-responsive to your needs. The cottage is two short blocks to the bluff and near stairs to the beach. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch and interacting neighbors out walking their dogs. The double lot and corner location provided added privacy. There's also an outdoor gas grill, fire pit and beach gear available, although we didn't need it. We plan to return next fall.

Very up to date, clean, well stocked house right next to the park and the beach. Carrie is a great host and very good communicator. Only caveat I will give to families with very young children - the bathrooms only have showers, no bath tubs. We figured it out (cooler tub on the lawn for my 1 year old daughter lol) but in case you have very young ones, it’s something to consider. Side lawn with fire pit is so nice, ended every day out there

GREAT VACAY! The huge corner lot that is wide open, complete with large BBQ, picnic table with umbrella, and fire pit with 10 large Adirondack chairs was AMAZING! We had extended family in 3 rented homes and our house quickly became the central gathering & dinner space. This was FANTASTIC and truly made the rental a standout!The location is PERFECT! Close to both beach stairs, close to park, and close town. Location! Location! Location!The house is modern remodeled, updated with 2 very nice, large bathrooms (1 up & 1 downstairs). Beds were very comfy!We were 2 families with 4 very little children and a Grandmother & Great Uncle. It all worked very well!(I would have liked open shelving or hooks to put clothes away after beach each day, as storage is very tight. Same with kitchen and food storage, tight!)Owner Host was very helpful and quick to respond.

Our hosts were amazing, and the location was perfect for a quick trip out of South Bend! Great town and restaurants. Place was very clean and kitchen was stocked with proper pots and pans. We would visit again!

Beautiful, charming home! Great location- quick walk to beach and church, and easy walk to Main Street. The outdoor fireplace was a bonus, as we love being outside. Great hostess, with lots of extra touches.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Ashwood Cottage. The cottage is very clean and comfortable with many updates. We enjoyed the location with short walks to a beautiful beach, park and town. The neighborhood was especially fun with all the families around us also having a happy summer vacation.

We just spent a week in this immaculate house. It is a great location to the beach, the park and the downtown area. It was only a two block walk to see the beautiful sunsets. There is a nice firepit! Carrie was so easy to work with and gave us suggestions on places to eat and things to do. I would highly recommend this house!!

Perfect location!

We loved our stay here! This house is in the perfect location. So close to the beach, park, restaurants, shopping and bike trails! We walked / rode our bikes everywhere. The layout of the house worked well for our family.

Summer in South Haven

This home was in a great location. Easy walk to the beach and downtown. The house had plenty of space for our family of four. The bathrooms were beautiful. We also loved sitting by the fire pit in the evenings. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Girls Trip

What a great place to stay for a girls wine tasting trip. The house was spotless and the location was great. Even though the weather was chilly we took our morning walk to the beach everyday! Carrie was great to work with. Can’t wait to go back with my family!

Perfect House with a Perfect Location

We couldn't have asked for anything more, this house was amazing!! It is beautiful, the location was ideal, and it was absolutely perfect for our girls weekend! Carrie was on top of everything and even sent us ideas of things to do while we were there. We are already planning next years trip!
