About this property

Gorgeous Cliff Top Kiwi Bach facing the sea

Perched on a cliff and having an awesome view all the way from Ponui Island to the Coromandel, this cute and renovated kiwi bach is only a short walk to the beach and a 10 min drive from Kawakawa Bay and Tapapakanga Regional Park. This gorgeous unspoilt haven is perfect for kayaking ,boating, fishing, swimming or just having a serene walk on the beach .
Very safe beach great for swimming. Close to mountain bike tracks, great picnics areas and world famous bird watching foreshore.
3 min walk to the general store that stocks a wide range of goods as well as takeaways.
There is a big backyard for parking a boat and 2-3 cars and a big back lawn for running around.
There are 2 decks each with twin opening French doors leading from the living area. The one at the front is North facing with expansive sea views and one at the back faces a little courtyard with a BBQ, overhead sail , outdoor gas heater and a chimenea with a ponga log wall backdrop.
The main property consists of a main living area that has a 1. separate bathroom with shower, vanity and toilet
2. A modern kitchen with stainless steel dishwasher, microwave , coffee machine and fridge.
The dining area and living area flows from the kitchen.
There is a flat screen TV, Freeview, stereo, CD player, dining table and chairs
3. Three modest size bedrooms . One bedroom has a Queen bed while the other 2 have single beds. Two of these bedrooms have sea views.
4. Crockery , cutlery, pots ,wine glasses

A separate self contained sleep out also available for rental ( see below) . This is not on the main listing ( can discuss with owner if interested)

Awesome little bach

Stunning views with all the extras. We were in the area competing in an annual discgolf tournament at Waitawa Regional park so we’re out days returning in the evenings. The house was warm clean and functional and in an awesome location. Thanks for allowing us your little slice of paradise.

Beautiful view and comfortable house

Really enjoyed our stay in this well equipped home with beautiful sea views. Quiet location close to the beach and playground. Dairy and library around the corner. Very helpful neighbours. The only issue was the water pump that needed to be restarted periodically but repairs were being arranged so that should not be a problem in future.

Weekend Getaway

Located in an idyllic position to either just chill looking out at the sea or to be as active as you wish. Our second visit and we love that the property retains some of the 'good old kiwi bach' vibe. We were looking for a weekend of coastal walks and relaxing at the table on the deck looking across to the Coromandel. Once again it didn't disappoint. Thank you

Lovely views and chilled vibe

The main cottage is a modest but comfortable Bach with wonderful views of the sea. The two decks (front and back) give you options when it's sunny/windy. The lounge is great for chilling and reflecting on the world. The bedrooms are small so this should be noted but we went for the extra sleep out which was a great option. We had a relaxing, soothing stay and were lucky with the weather too! The beach is a 10 min walk along the water front houses with a steep walk down/up but it's worth it. Thanks Victor and family!

Perfect Location

Not too far from Central Auckland, yet a world away at the same time! (in the best possible way) ♥️ This Ōrere Point bach is the perfect location for a long weekend getaway. The view is fabulous! It was so relaxing eating all our meals out on the deck overlooking the sea. We are very thankful to Victor who let us charge our EV overnight, (thank you again). This made it possible for us to do day trips to all of the awesome beaches and Regional Council parks in the area. Booking the sleepout as well meant there was plenty of space for 2x families of three.

Lovely property, well looked after, inside & out. Amazing, uninterrupted ocean views! Also, only a 2 minute walk to playground & dairy, beach is only another few minutes walk. We didn't want to leave!

What a beautiful location! The bach was spotlessly clean. The owner was super helpful. As we were attending our daughter's wedding, we didn't get to spend as much time there as we'd have liked. The spacious deck coped well with a family dinner & the girls pre-wedding breakfast. The neighbours are lovely, helpful people. We'd love to go back!
