Robyn and Fenton were wonderful host! They were so welcoming and even had treats stocked in the kitchen for us. The loft is spacious and has everything you need for a lovely stay (Robyn thought of everything). There's a nice private covered sitting area outside. The sheep are fun to watch and feed. Gorgeous views up by the owners house you can sit and look out at. I would definitely stay here again.
We had a fantastic weekend, such a serene location, the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. Everything was beautifully presented, tidy and well appointed with everything we needed. We were delighted by the complimentary cheeseboard, milk, biscuits, cereal, fruit and yoghurt - such a thoughtful touch! The hosts were absolutely lovely and made us feel very welcome. We were invited to explore the property but the weather didn’t play ball, so maybe next time. The garden patio and seating area was awesome and undercover, so the rain didn’t matter. Highly recommend - we’d happily stay here again. Thanks for having us.
The upstairs area was perfect for our stay and the owners of the nearby house let us watch the sun rises and sun sets from the viewing area just outside of their porch. Overall a lovely stay. Highly recommend!
We loved this place! Greeted in the morning with happy cows in the pasture and sheep in there pen. Beautiful area, nice hosts, and easy drive to all the sights. Completely removed from the tourists, which we loved.

Facilities upstairs in the 'loft' ok for a peaceful countryside getaway. Clean, comfortable beds. Property above owner's workshop and lacks attractive and comfortable private outside living space. No oven and limited kitchen space. Uncontrolled barking dogs from nearby house a little annoying at night.Main gripe was on checkout day when the owner simply marched upstairs into what was OUR private sleeping area to get the linen to wash, ignoring my offer to immediately get that for her, after she said she was relaxed about our departure time. Never experienced a blatant disregard for privacy like that before... You just don't do that.Feedback is a gift.
Very convenient location to Lake Karapiro. Beautiful gardens. A lot of thought has gone into making The Loft, very comfortable and welcoming accommodation.
A beautifully furnished loft with access to a stunning garden and a breathtaking view. The perfect place to slow down and relax with great access to surrounding attractions which in our case was Sanctuary Mountain. Robyn and Fenton are very kind and considerate hosts and made our stay extra special.
Robyn and Fenton are amazing hosts. Friendly, and generous. The property was super clean and well furnished. The gardens and views are spectacular.
Will definitely stay again. Thank you 💝

Our absolute pleasure and you are welcome anytime 🌺
Gorgeous property, welcoming, detail conscious hosts. Robyn and Fenton looked after us like family members. Their generosity of spirit is evident in every part of their world. Our stay was an unexpected gem in a truly extraordinary part of New Zealand.
I'm not exaggerating -- this is the best B&B experience of our lives and it's not even a contest.
I want to start this review by saying that the morning we were to leave The Loft, I got the news that my father had passed away. I'm absolutely serious when I say there's no place I'd rather have been to process that horrible news. The magic of this place was a balm for my heart that day.
Describing the property as "beautiful" does it no justice.
When I first arrived with my wife and her cousin, it was nearly 11pm and dark. The instructions were clear and the property was easy to navigate. We opened the door to find a fresh jar of cookies, snacks, drinks, and a fridge with crackers, cheese, yogurt and much more. These thoughtful snacks were so needed and so appreciated.
The room upstairs was *massive* and so comfortable, with a movie playing softly on the TV. We easily got our stuff up the stairs and got to sleep in the comfortable beds quickly.
Nothing could've prepared us for the view we were treated to the next morning. Robyn and Fenton are such warm-hearted, absolutely genuine, down-to-earth people, and we liked them immediately. They made it clear that guests are welcome to walk up the hill into their yard to see the view of the Waikato River from the hill they live on, and you should.
That view is breathtaking. You can't believe it's possible to live in a place so beautiful.
Cannot recommend this place strongly enough, and my sincerest thanks to R&F for their generosity in sharing this beautiful property with the world.
Very easy communication and instructions. Position was perfect for the show jumping event we were attending at Takapoto Estate. The Loft is a lovely well equipped place
Space, tranquility, privacy and comfort. The perfect place to get away for R and R. And the panoramic view from the seats at the top of the garden down across the Waikato river to the hlls of South Waikato is just perfect at any time of day.
Robyn and Fenton are very friendly and helpful hosts.Thank you! We will be back.
Celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary, we were just looking for some place central in the Waikato, Where we could relax, come and go as we needed, take in the areas sights, while we just doing things together.. out first place was be be Santuary mountain , so we look for somewhere near.. using Bookabach the loft was the first entry we came across.. we looked no further as it look so inviting and relaxing... the Loft delivered on its promise, and when we arrived and walked into the Loft we were blown away that it looks exactly as advertised.. a place we could just do everything at our own pace.. then to add to this, the hosts, Robyn & Fenton were the best, offering the whole of their grounds to use and wonder around, and to have chats, and treating us as if we lived there.. This was one of the best places we have stayed, which made our anniversary a great hit.. Thanks Robyn & Fenton for welcoming us, and treating us Well... we are looking forward to staying there again in the future.. thnx Paul & Eilis

Thank you so much for your kind words Paul and Eilis. We loved having you stay for such a special anniversary. We look forward to seeing you both in the future. Take care till then Robyn and Fenton
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay which was just down the road from where the action was taking place. Lovely big open plan space. Tasty nibbles were available on arrival. It would have been useful to know that there was only a BBQ or sandwich press to cook on. We’d definitely stay here again
The Loft provided everything that we needed for a quiet, comfortable and private long weekend break away. We loved sitting in the gazebo, looking out over the rolling grassy hills, listening to the birds and other gentle country sounds. Thoughtful little extras were provided - breakfast ingredients and snacks. Honestly, it was difficult to leave.
The nice and tidy property, the owner was so kind. Thanks

What makes this property unique
Centrally located in the Waikato close to Hobbiton, Waikato River Trails ,Maungatautari Mountain. This is a lovely peaceful property where you can come and just relax. Enjoy the tui's, native kaka, fantails, and occasional wood pigeons that fly through our property. We also have our own chickens and sheep, one who particularly likes a good pat.
