A cedar hot tub is situated in a very private tranquil part of the section. Please note the hot tub is an additional cost of $30 per night.
This 2-story holiday home offers plenty of space with four bedrooms located on the first floor. Relax indoors in the open plan living area complete with modern furnishings and a great log burner. Enjoy the balcony complete with a BBQ for an easy meal after a day of adventure, followed by a soak in the hot tub.

Local cafes, restaurants, spa treatments, and the Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools & Spa are all within a few minutes walking distance. Venture out for a bushwalk or go off-road for a mountain bike or 4WD tour. For the adrenaline junkies white water rafting or bungy jumping is on the ‘must-do list.

Bedroom configuration: Bedroom one 1 x queen bed, king single bed with a single trundle bed this can be joined together to make a king bed. Bedroom two 1 x queen bed and a cot. Bedroom three 1x queen bed. Bedroom Four 1x double bed and a king single. For additional guests, there is a single foam mattress and a couch that folds flat suitable for one person.

PLEASE NOTE: The loft is situated above the lounge and access to it is a ladder that requires supervision when children are using it.

NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave; Bring your linen (towels/sheets/tea towels)

NOTE: There are security cameras on the exterior of the house, they are located at the front entrance door and the back balcony door.

NOTE: There will be a charge of NZ$150 damage deposit incase the property was left uncleaned

We had a lovely time and appreciated being able to use the fire. In general, the property was great and well equipped. The only down side was the need for a deep clean. There appeared to be a build up of accumulated dust including the fire grill. There was plenty of cleaning equipment and we could have done it ourselves but didn't expect to need to. The communication with the property manager could have been better and seemed very last minute. When co-ordinating 8 adults to go there it would have been nice to have information more than 2 days before hand despite asking for it earlier.

Arrived to a very unclean house. Certainly needs a good thorough clean. Floors were filthy and had not been washed by the dirt on them.The Tv was not working and we got in touch with Amie who sent a chap to us to try and fix the problem but he said the Freeview box was had it ..so it wasn’t sorted …no Tv for the three nights we stayed..Very steep stairs for elderly people to climb..Terrible place to try and park your car Make sure you bring a 4 wheel drive ! For the price try elsewhere !The oven door does not shut ,so don’t try and cook your roast dinner !Patricia….

Thank you for your feedback, Patricia. We were disappointed by this review, as the concerns raised were not reported on arrival, but well into the stay, despite our clear instructions to contact us immediately so any issues can be resolved promptly. When notified about the TV, we arranged for someone to attend the property straight away. Unfortunately the Freeview box could not be replaced over the weekend, however the TV was still fully usable for streaming services via Wi-Fi, Netflix and Chromecast, and a new TV has now been purchased. The only photos provided after departure were of a full vacuum cleaner canister, the inside of a rubbish bin, and a small area near the entry where pine needles had blown in. The oven door not closing snug does not affect the ovens cooking ability, however new hinges have arrived ready to be installed. The listing photos also clearly show the steep driveway, staircase and two storey layout of the home so guests can determine suitability before booking, and there is also plenty of free street parking available.

lots of empty beer can around the entrance, lots of hair in the shower room.Oven did not work.And we used hot spa, they charged us fix cost for hot tub cover, but that was already old and some parts were broken, we never broken it, we replied, but no response from themPlease take a picture if there is any damage when you arrive there, otherwise they ask you for that.

This was a great holiday house for our family.Walking distance to the town, hot pools, mountain bike tracks and walking tracks.House was lovely warm and inviting. Driveway is steap but tou can park on the aide if worried. Wood fire is amazing heats the house well.

House was ok, not the cleanest place and I think this is due to tenants cleaning it themselves. Would be cautious if going with a toddler as the cot is set at bassinet height and couldn’t be changed easily. Glad we brought our portacot as the cot wasn’t safe in the height it was set. Also a lot of stairs, including gravel stairs to get to the front door, so be aware if you need easier accessibility. High chair was great, no workable baby gate at the top of the stairs. Had the gate but not the right attachments to install. Location was good.

Beautiful, great location! Lots of small details that made it a wonderful stay (blankets, games, appliances)! We went mid winter and it was super warm. There is a pretty sharp incline to flat at the top of the drive which will probably scrape the bottom of your car if its not a truck, but the was heaps of roadside parking and its not far at all from the front door!
