About this property
Havelock North base for families & groups - plenty of space & indoor/outdoor fun
A comfortable, uncluttered home ideal for families or groups visiting Hawke’s Bay. Set over three levels, the house is easy for groups, with multiple living areas and practical touches that make longer stays simple.
You’ll find board games, books and toys, along with extra pillows and blankets to keep everyone comfortable. Outside, there’s a trampoline in the front yard, plus a basketball hoop and a volleyball/badminton net in the backyard for casual outdoor fun. A table tennis table and a Crazy Catch rebound net can also be made available on request. There’s also a basic spa pool on-site – a simple, relaxing bonus after a day out exploring.
Located in Havelock North, you’re well placed to enjoy everything the region has to offer, from beaches and parks to wineries and walking trails. Te Mata Peak is close by for great views, and you’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to food and wine. Black Barn Vineyards is nearby – around a 2-minute drive or approximately a 20-minute walk – making it an easy option for lunch, wine, or a relaxed outing.
At the end of the road are three local schools – Havelock North High School, Havelock North Intermediate, and Te Mata School – roughly a 10-minute walk or about a minute by car. Outside school hours, guests can make use of the public-access areas, including:
• Tennis courts
• Basketball / netball courts / hoops
• Sports fields suitable for soccer, rugby, cricket, and throwing a frisbee
• Playgrounds
Whether you’re gathering for a celebration, attending a local event, or simply enjoying a break with loved ones, it’s an easy, welcoming base for making the most of your time in Hawke’s Bay.
On request
• Table tennis table
• Crazy Catch rebound net
• Bikes
• A small selection of basic gym equipment
• Tennis equipment (rackets + balls)
• Sports balls: soccer balls, basketballs, netballs
• Extra beach towels (plenty available)
• Chilly bin / cooler
• Picnic rug
Special conditions
• There are three internal staircases and no stair gates – please bring your own if needed.
• The trampoline is in the front yard and does not have a safety net; use at your discretion.
• It’s a peaceful spot with lovely neighbours, so we ask guests to keep things quiet in the evenings.
• Please strip the beds you’ve used before checkout – this helps our cleaner know what to change.
• We try to be flexible where we can; if you have a request, let us know in advance and we’ll do our best.
Extras
• Cleaning (required): NZD 160 per stay
• Linen and towels provided

About the host
Hosted by Adrian
I’m local to Hawke’s Bay and make the house available when it’s not in use. It’s a relaxed, practical place that suits families and groups, and I aim to make the stay as easy and comfortable as possible. I’m nearby if needed, but happy to give guests their space.
Why they chose this property
Havelock North has a great village feel, with walking tracks, parks, and green spaces I enjoy regularly. It’s a quiet spot, but still well located for reaching the beach or exploring the rest of Hawke’s Bay. I like the slower pace, but there’s always something nearby if you want it.
What makes this property unique
The house is spacious, private, and easy to settle into. It’s peaceful and quiet here, ideal for groups wanting room to relax and spend time together. It’s not overly styled, but it’s clean, comfortable, and set up with everything you need for a simple, enjoyable stay.
