Lovely location
Overburdened with residents clutter, and not particularly well presented. However, fantastic location and beautiful garden and outdoor spaces. Close to walking tracks and stunning views.

Beautiful location but
The property is beautiful and the location is wonderful. We really enjoyed getting the opportunity to enjoy the trails and the hikes. My daughter really enjoyed feeding the chickens and collecting eggs. Overall, the house could benefit from removal of cobwebs, debris, and personal clutter. Additionally, the stairs appear to be in a process of repair but not yet completed at the time of our stay.

Thank you for your review Susan.
I apologize for not letting you know about the stairs. Yes we are replacing the carpet and was not finished when you stayed as we had problems with the contractor.
I am so glad your daughter enjoyed the chickens and collecting the eggs.

Good house
Check in was chaotic probably caused by us arriving early while the house was being cleaned although we do think a 4pm check in time is very late. We also discovered that there was no functioning bbq despite being listed in the amenities available. However our hosts were brilliant and immediately went out and purchased a new one which was fantastic. The house is well equipped, the gardens are gorgeous and the location is spot on. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and would recommend the house.
Owner switched off hot water supply before leaving and was not reachable for over 24 hrs. We all could not shower for 2 days. The spa in the bathroom was not usable as the jets were throwing out dirt. The outdoor furniture (swing, tables) were dirty with cob webs and again non-usable. No proper cooling facility in the bedrooms,
as it was very hot we ended up sleeping in the lounge downstairs. Overall not a very pleasant stay.

I am sorry about the hot water Arshiya, this was a mistake.
I have checked the Spa and it is working fine with no dirt coming out of it.
We do not have air conditioning in the bedroom and do not offer this on our listing. Yes the Hawkes Bay is very hot in summer compared to Wellington. I am sorry you suffer from the heat.
Lovely place to stay. Plenty of space and getting eggs fresh from the chickens was a laugh, the chickens didn’t want to give up the eggs!
Thanks for letting us stay.

Really nice comfortable house in a superb setting on top of a hill surrounded by lovely private garden to relax in . Inside house had everything we needed , plenty of space and comfortable . NOTE :However it does not sleep 8 as it states on website . It sleeps 5 adults ( 2 double beds and a single bed ) and a child in ‘racing car’ bed . The ‘racing car ‘ bed is a low child’s bed and not comfortable for an adult . This needs amending on listing .
Lovely home near Napier (30 min away) it’s away from the hustle and bustle but still close to town. We loved the sunsets and views of the Te Mata It’s close to the vineyards. The home is like an oasis in the woods. You feel very close nature, including egg laying hens. Fresh breezes were refreshing We loved staying here.
beautiful property set in a lovely peaceful garden. Very close to Havelock North township and easy access to other areas in the Hawkes Bay. Highly Reccomended

Superb!
Superb! Tranquil location nestled in the hills off Te Mata Peak yet 5min drive from Havelock North village. The property was a dream. The fruit trees, chicken farm (fresh eggs every day!) and lots of outdoor space for walks, games and the views are spectacular.
