About this property

Absolute waterfront with stunning views

Our holiday house is our pride and joy. We have owned it since building it in the 1970's. The quintessential 70's bach.

The views of the ocean and Harbour are simply breathtaking and can be enjoyed on the large deck and expansive lawn. You can literally throw a stone into the water from the balcony.

It has all the modern appliances. There is one bathroom with a shower, basin and separate toilet. Outdoor furniture, gas BBQ available for guest use. Additional parking is available on the road at end of driveway. Plenty of space for a tent.

Young children are welcome however due to the gaps in the decking railing we recommend more suitable for children 6 and up.
Small pets are allowed.

The ferry jetty is only meters away, where you can take a small ferry ride to Pauanui or up the Harbour. Plenty of parking on the road side near house as well as on the property. Tairua's amazing surf beach is a pleasant 8-10 min walk from the house.

The main township of Tairua is a approx 25 min walk or a 5 min drive where there is a great selection of shops including a small supermarket, post office, doctors surgery, hairdressers, pharmacy, café/restaurants and bars. If you play golf there is a fantastic golf course close to town. The main bus network comes through the main road in the township.

All beds have fresh sheets, duvet, extra blankets and pillows. Bathroom towels and face towels provided.

Young children are welcome however due to the gaps in the deck rail it's suitable for children 6 and up.

Relaxing comfortable home with great view

This is the second time we have stayed at this great spot. The house is perfect for a family with a great kitchen and plenty of room to relax and enjoy the views. Great walks to be had and an ocean beach close by.

Very impressed with this bach - couldn't think of a better location. Well equipped with everything we needed and perfect for us being right on the water, nearby the shops but out of the way of the crowds. We saw the most amazing giant stingrays from the jetty at night! Thanks very much for a great stay.

What a great spot!

As per the other reviews this is such an awesome spot to just chill, relax and take in the view across the water! Great amenities (cooktop, oven, fridge freezer etc) - all you need for a great stay.

Great view...and sunny. A great spot to view the activity on the beach and watch the fishermen cruise by of their boats The house was very comfortable. The kitchen was great to cook in and was well equipped.

Beautiful

Amazing location. Typical 80’s bach but well equipped. Would have been good to access things for the kids such as boogie boards, and also board games.

Talk about LOCATION!!

Had everything we needed, the views were epic and location - well magnificent. Only (small) gripe was the kitchen bin still had rubbish in it and was quite full as was the recycling bins. Not that big of a deal but I felt a bit mean “stacking” the recycling etc.

Magical getaway

The house looked better than the photos! Beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything and more that was needed. The deck was massive and the view was majestic! Heaps of parking as it is at the end of a dead end street. It's quite private also as neighbours are at a distance. Went fishing right in front of the house, bait shop at the end of the rd (1min drive). Created some amazing memories with my family. Had a slight concern that was addressed straight away by the property manager without fuss. 10/10, we hope to stay again in the future. Feeling very grateful, thank you, thank you, thank you!

Fabulous spot to watch the world go by

Great retro home with views to die for, comfy queen bed, large comfy sofas, decent size TV & good shower pressure, all must haves on our list, but above all the most incredible views across Tairua & Pauanui with boats & jetskis to watch come & go. The old Mill House cafe is afew mins walk & fabulous, & the beachfront half hour stroll to town is great. Highly recommended!

Paradise

Wow! What a view! Just sat on the deck for hours and watched all the boats going out of the harbour. Went fishing on the pontoon just below the house. There were lots of walks to do. What a location. The house was most comfortable and contained everything you could need. The manager was most helpful with my enquires before the trip and we were given very detailed instructions which made the settling into the house easy. We would love to come back again sometime.

Breathtaking.

Breathtaking. The view is out of this world, great spot at the end of the esplanade and overlooking the water and beaches. The property itself is a combination of retro 70's chic and modern facilities including a great fridge/freezer and oven/hob. They have thought of most things in the house with Sky Tv being a bonus. BBQ out the back, a great deck with outside seating and 4 sun loungers on the lawn which gets plenty of sun and amazing views. Highly recommended.
