About this property

Beachside 2 bedroom home 100m from water with views! Boatmans East

Boatmans East Cottage is a two-bedroom home with beautiful views overlooking the green and Pilot's Bay. The master bedroom offers water views and a King sized bed, while the second bedroom, with twin single beds, also looks out over the green toward the bay. The cottage features a spacious kitchen, a large separate dining room, a renovated bathroom with a walk-in shower, and a comfortable lounge room with water views. Outside, you'll find a sunny courtyard with an outdoor seating area, perfect for relaxing. The home also includes Wi-Fi for added convenience.

The Low Head Pilot Station is a Tasmanian Government Heritage Site with a collection of beautifully aged properties, lush lawns and direct beach access. Each house and cottage has it’s own quirks and charm, and the age and heritage status means that this experience is best for those seeking charm, comfort, rustic heritage, and waterfront living. Windows can rattle, grasses can sometimes blow in under the doors, and maintenance is frequently required on homes built almost 200 years ago, it’s part of the character that makes this place so special.

Spend your days exploring Low Head, with its beaches, the river, nearby wineries, farms, State and National Parks right on your doorstep. Or simply unwind in the cosy charm of the Pilot Staton historic precinct, watching the Pilots come and go, the signal flags wave in the wind and the tides rise and fall.

By evening, watch yachts drift across the Bass Strait or listen for the call of little penguins returning to shore at dusk. With native wildlife, including pademelons, wombats, bandicoots, and even the occasional Tasmanian devil, you’ll feel a deep connection to nature while soaking in the rich history of this unique coastal destination.
