The kitchen was well equipped with cooking items as well as seasonings. The hot tub was fantastic and under the porch for coverage. Even though they were working on the fence out back we couldn't hear a thing from inside
I loved the neighborhood. The bedrooms were very spacious. We did not have any extra bedding for the fold out couches. I would recommend putting some chairs in the bedrooms. We did find traces of mice in the kitchen.
The accommodations met our expectations. Our group of friends were in town for an event and the dwelling was located in proximity to all aspects of the event. We did not use the sauna, video games, nor hot tub. (FYI to the owner, and being a hot tub owner… it appeared the hot tub water was a bit cloudy and needed shocked) The neighborhood was quaint and quiet. Adequate parking.
We were in town for a family reunion and had family from four states staying together. The house has plenty of room and was a great location for us with a lovely yard (under construction) and a bit of a lake view. The kitchen had everything we needed, the hot tub was amazing with strong jets and clean water, communication with the host was excellent. The sauna and arcade games are a nice fun added touch. With a few minor additions like night stands, outdoor chairs, shower anti-slip mats, and a better downstairs cooling system this would be a five star stay. Definitely recommend and would stay again without hesitation.
Great Property and location.Especially good for family.Biggest issue was cleanliness. home needs a throughal cleaning and treatment for carpenter ants. Host staed it was hard to find good cleaning people. She stated she has ordered treatment for ants.
We have rented thru VRBO before. This was by far our best experience. The house had everything we needed (no running out first thing for toilet paper) Best of all was the Christmas tree and decorations. It really made it “home for the holiday.”The agent and owners were super communicative, let us know what and where’s promptly.I can’t thank them enough for the experience. Our dog loved the space it trapped in a hotel room.
The home is large with plenty of rooms. The problem was all the beds except the main bedroom had very hard mattresses, no give at all. The kitchen chair are wood with no cushions, and the couches (all 3) were not for sitting for more than a few minutes. Overall, the furniture was very uncomfortable, the worst. If there was anything worth sitting on for any length of time, it would have been great.
The house size and amount of bedrooms was nice for our family size. There are some kid cups, bowls, and plates that was a nice surprise. Some board games are also available. Hot tub is a nice perk. Closets are all good size. Only the upstairs hall bath is big with a double vanity and tub/shower combo. Cons: house is very dated and not well kept. Squeaky floors, gunk under the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. Only one person can shower at a time or you’re going to get blasted with cold water and low pressure. Furniture is all pretty cheap. Beds were ok, some family members didn’t like them or the pillows. The overall cleanliness was very poor. The management company was made aware and hopefully going forward it will be better. Outlets and lights in the bedrooms were minimal. We ended up getting an extension cord just so we could plug in our phones and have near the bed. WiFi is spotty and kept going off and on while we were there. Steps going from driveway to walkway, and then steps going up to front door are uneven, so just a warning if traveling with anyone that is unsteady or uses a walker. The management company was quick to respond and tried to rectify some of the things they could. Another downside for our particular stay was work was going on in the backyard and I guess the neighbors, that was very noisy in the mornings. So no sleeping in!
