Spent a day and 1/2 here. Convenient location to Mt Airy and Pilot Mt. Enjoyed both.

Thank you, Dave and Kim, for the fantastic review! You guys are welcome back anytime! Thanks again, and I hope you keep us in mind for your future travels!
The house was very well maintained. It is secluded and private in a wooded area. Jamey, the host, communicated prior to our arrival with instructions on how to access the property and continued to communicate with us during our stay to make sure everything was satisfactory. The location is convenient to access the Blue Ridge Parkway, as well as just a short drive into Mt. Airy (Mayberry), while being far enough away to be private. We highly recommend this property and the owner, Jamey.
The house was clean, the bed was comfortable and the house was tastefully decorated. The house is very secluded and has an amazing covered porch. It rained some and we loved hearing the rain beat on the tin roof. We had such of a relaxing time. We definitely would rent this house again.
The house was very nice, well decorated and maintained. The bed was very comfortable. Enjoyed seeing the wildlife from the porch. The house is definitely secluded as advertised . The host was very helpful and easily accessible.
Guests seem to complain about things that were completely out of my control. They were doing celll tower upgrades in the area, and he said how sh@tty the service was there. I actually communicated to them that they were doing upgrades prior to his arrival and to bring DVDs as a back up. Also, the home is located in the mountains, and they complained about one little inch worm that they saw on a bedroom wall. High maintenance guest.
Host failed to disclose material facts that would have resulting in cancellation and became hostile when confronted . Host pretended to be IT when in fact they were the host. Host failed to respond to VRBO to resolve the complaint. We had to leave, told not to come back and as yet have no refund so we’ll have to do a charge back. Avoid our mistake, go else where.

From the Owner: "We do let guests know in advance that internet service can be spotty in the mountains, and unfortunately, this is beyond our control. We’re sorry to hear that this guest was unhappy with the connection and chose to leave early. We always strive to provide a great experience despite the challenges of our location."
