This house was perfect for our family stay. Great location to get to all areas of Montauk. The kitchen is well stocked with useful tools and everything was clean and ready for us. I would recommend this rental, especially for families.

I was worried because it was the 1st time to visit Montauk and we really didn't know where to stay and how close we would be to everything. OMG this home was amazing! Very Big and Clean, clean,clean. I have heard nightmares of other rentals once they arrived and we were so Happy. You felt like home. Thank you for the stock of household things you had in the kitchen saved us some money. Ex: tin foil, dish soap, trash bags and all those things that add up. The deck was amazing. If you have a small crowd coming you can actually play corn hole on this big wrap around deck! lol. The stayed nice and cool and it was so comfortable. The trip to their little town was 3 min away. We chartered a boat for fishing at that was a great success. November Rain was the fishing boat. Absolutely a flawless 4 days at our 1st visit to Montauk. The really nice bonus is our family had the whole downstairs like a private apartment. Plenty of elbow room for everyone and the living room was so cozy!. I will definitely return to this Oasis if we come back next year. Thank you!

Mixed feelings

After our stay with a family of five, we left with mixed feelings about this house. So here are two sides of the coin: The good: House is secluded, quiet with a nice big living room and great deck. Enough space. Plenty of parking. Well equipped kitchen (albeit dated). Management was quick with communication. The bad: Bedrooms (especially the downstairs ones) musty, even after opening all the windows. Two bathrooms are dated. Master bedroom does not have own bathroom. Although surfaces were all well cleaned, rugs were dusty and some dirty. Location is somewhat removed from everything, which would not have been a problem if bikes had not been sold out. Cars are a problem in the Hamptons, parking at almost all beaches is for residents only. Local beach is walking distance, but not great, rocky, not for swimming and too many flies.

We hope you enjoyed your stay and we appreciate your suggestions. I am glad you noticed what a thorough job our professional cleaning staff does, we think they are excellent as well! I know you were disappointed that there were restrictions on beach parking this summer due to COVID, unfortunately that is beyond our control, luckily we do have a very secluded private beach just minutes walk from the house for our guests use. As for the flies at the beach, we’ve never experienced that, but that too is beyond our control of course. We've never had anyone say the location is remote, as it is only 1.5 miles to downtown but I realize everyone's perspective is different. In regard to the bathrooms- our listing description and photos ARE 100% accurate, so you can see prior to arrival that our bathrooms are not updated- so that is a personal choice everyone needs to make prior to booking if that is something that is important to them- but as you pointed out, they are certainly well maintained and clean. :)

Montauk house

While the house was clean it was very dated and had a strong musty smell. The internet worked sporadically.
