About this property

Garden Studio in the Heart of Nelson

Our studio is in our garden which people describe as a hidden oasis in central Nelson, with CBD only a 5 minute walk away. It is private and comfortable, bright and sunny and is a perfect place to relax and chill after a day out exploring this beautiful part of New Zealand.

The studio is newly renovated and self contained with a kitchenette, queen bed and a single bed in an attic space which is suitable for a child and for some adults (see pic of stairs). There is a dining space and comfortable sofa. The bathroom has a shower and heated floor. The French doors lead out to a patio. The garden is shared and we respect the privacy of our guests. We grow flowers, vegetables and fruit trees which are pollinated by our bees and fertilized by the castings from our worms! Onsite parking for small/medium cars as well as street parking. Entrance is through a wood working workshop.

Ann is a lovely host and the unit is thoughtfully appointed and architecturally interesting. The back garden is lovely. We enjoyed our stay in this backyard retreat very close to the city center.

Comfy stay in Nelson

Anne's 'secret garden' apartment provides comfortable accommodation for 2 guests (with a quirky loft for a third). It has been thoughtfully fitted out and updated. Breakfast was fulsome and most welcome. The centre of Nelson is but a short (15-20 min) walk away.Highly recommended.
