panoramic views over rolling valleys, stunning hills and vineyards and out to beautiful Tasman Bay.
Our guest studio is light and bright offering a very comfortable, deep mattress queen size bed, and quality bed linen.
A stylish en-suite, with underfloor heating and heated towel rail for cosy toes and towels in the cooler months.
The rustic interior with kitchenette breakfast bar, and dining table, are fully equipped for enjoying your complimentary welcome breakfast sufficient to last a couple over two days.

E-BIKES:
PLEASE NOTE THE E-BIKES ARE... 'SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY' during the period of your stay. This is due to them belonging to our 'sister' business for which they have priority. THEREFORE THEY ARE NOT A GIVEN. Please confirm with us prior to your arrival, their availability.
Being on the ground floor of our home, the studio opens to a private garden area with its own beautiful views.
Guests have their own entry and parking is allocated.
A toaster, kettle, coffee perk, bench top cook plates, and mini fridge are provided for your convenience, along with crockery, cutlery, sandwich maker, and pots and pans.
A two seater couch, petite dining table and breakfast bar with stools are available for dining options.
There is a HD Smartview TV with Netflix also cards or board games in the evening.
There are outdoor table settings for that morning coffee or dining out around the bbq and later, enjoying a wine under the stars around the brazier.
Simply gorgeous on a clear night as we are well away from city lights and the starlit skies are wonderful.

PLEASE NOTE A bench top oven can be made available for longer term guests upon request.

GUEST ACCESS
Parking is closeby with a short walk down a grassy slope to the studio door.
Guests enjoy sole use of the studio and outdoor area.

Relaxing break

Communication and directions were good and welcome ideal. The hosts were great all stay, attentive but unobtrusive. E-bike supply was seamless and recommendations perfect. The views were superb and weather was kind.We had a great break and would recommend.

Bella Vista Māpua visit

Kathy and Jamie were very welcoming and friendly hosts to this absolutely stunning location and immaculate studio below their home. We were most appreciative of the generous e-bikes loan for the day, making exploring the local area great fun.

Location with a great view

Fantastic location in a beautiful setting. This place is close to the warf, shops and other things to do. The breakfast basket was so much more than food two days. Kathy and Jamie are very hospitable hosts and care for their guests.

Mini Break in Mapua.

So pleased we chose to stay here. Everything surpassed our expectations. Kathy is a lovely host. She checked in with us regularly to make sure we were comfortable. The view is amazing, the studio is put together with style, the bed is cozy, a yummy is breakfast supplied. We would have loved to have stayed longer.

Relax and rejuvenate.

Just the perfect location to step back and just relax. The accommodation was clean and just perfect for a short break. Waking up to those views and sitting outside for breakfast was the perfect way to start the day. The host Kath was very friendly and also very respectful knowing I just wanted peace and quiet. A lovely place to stay.

Stargazing with a wine by the brazier a highlight

Overall enjoyed our stay - Kath was very welcoming and accomodating for where things were, local restaurant suggestions and anything extra we needed. The property and room were well maintained and clean. Our only downsides were no spare towels or facecloths, being a little bit cold, and the access to room (we had to clamber around a parked wide caravan between bushes and a steep hill, my partner slipping over at one point, which was doable for us but I imagine would be very difficult for someone older or less able than us!) The view is fantastic and having a wine and stargazing by the brazier was the highlight for us. Thanks again for your hospitality Kath

Having returned to Nelson after many years living in various parts of NZ., my husband and I are a well travelled couple and enjoy sharing our home, located in this very beautiful part of the world, with guests from many different places.
We are always available to assist with enquiries and happy to share our knowledge of the area.
We own a large dog called Bear, who is very friendly and excellent with children.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with the beauty of this area and were smitten by the amazing 360° panoramic views over rolling valleys, stunning hills and local vineyards not to mention the beautiful Tasman Bay with its natural boulder bank providing shelter for the ships and foreshore.
Growing up in the region we were familiar with the stunning beauty of the Abel Tasman and its HikingTrack which is now so very popular with tourists the world over.

What makes this property unique

Upper Moutere, Tasman, New Zealand
The very popular Mapua village is an easy bike ride away, or a 5 min drive, offering an array of interesting boutique shops, galleries ,cafes, live music, bars and restaurants.
Fish n chips on the beach, from the Smoke house are highly recommended.
Cyclists can explore numerous cycle trails in and around the area and catch the Ferry across to Rabbit Island for further adventures and a stunning child friendly sandy beach. # Please ask re availability of our complimentary E- Bikes. NB ( Available only to reservations of 2 nights minimum. ) The E Bikes may not be available during your stay. Please enquire re availability prior to booking.
Fishing off the local wharf and swimming at slack tide is a favourite pastime of local children.
Getting around
Mapua is the gateway to the famous Abel Tasman National Park. Drop off and pickups can be arranged upon request. We are surrounded by numerous beautiful vineyards that offer a high standard of cuisine.
The beautiful golden sands of Kaiteriteri, offering ferry trips along the Abel Tasman is just 30 mins away by car.
We are located just 15mins drive to Motueka and Richmond and 25mins to Nelson city.
