Located just 5 minutes drive from Mapua village, our guest studio enjoys stunning
panoramic views over rolling valleys, stunning hills and vineyards and beautiful Tasman Bay.
Perfectly positioned to explore the upper South Island beaches, rivers and lakes and our world famous Abel Tasman Track just 30mins away.

Our guest studio is private, light and bright, offering a very comfortable, deep mattress queen size bed, and quality bed linen.
A stylish en-suite, with underfloor heating and heated towel rail for cosy toes and towels in the cooler months.

A complimentary "welcome" breakfast is included in your stay sufficient to last a couple over one to two days.

*FREE E-BIKES:
THE E-BIKES ARE... 'SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY' during the period of your stay. This is due to them belonging to our 'sister' business for which they have priority. HOWEVER, more often than not they ARE available.
Just confirm with us prior to your arrival, their availability.

Privately positioned, the studio opens to a private garden area with its own beautiful views.
Guests have their own entry and an allocated carpark is a short stroll away.
A toaster, kettle, coffee perk, bench top cook plates, and mini fridge are provided for your convenience, along with crockery, cutlery, sandwich maker, and pots and pans.
A two seater couch, dining table and breakfast bar with stools are available for dining options.
There is a HD Smartview TV with Netflix also cards or board games in the evening.
There is an outdoor table setting for dining out around the bbq, or you may prefer to sit at the breakfast bar with windows opened wide, and enjoy a wine under the stars.
Simply gorgeous on a clear night as we are well away from city lights and the starlit skies are wonderful.

PLEASE NOTE A bench top oven can be made available for longer term guests upon request.

Kathy is a fantastic, empathic host. Her holiday room with separate entrance is styled in French and Tuscan style (very modern, very chic). The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a quick breakfast or lunch. Everything is super neat, and the garden plus the view are superb. Will come back when in NZ!

Location with a great view

Fantastic location in a beautiful setting. This place is close to the warf, shops and other things to do. The breakfast basket was so much more than food two days. Kathy and Jamie are very hospitable hosts and care for their guests.

Having returned to Nelson after many years living in various parts of NZ., my husband and I are a well travelled couple and enjoy sharing our home, located in this very beautiful part of the world, with guests from many different places.
We are always available to assist with enquiries and happy to share our knowledge of the area.
We own a large dog called Bear, who is very friendly and excellent with children.

Why they chose this property

We fell in love with the beauty of this area and were smitten by the amazing 360° panoramic views over rolling valleys, stunning hills and local vineyards not to mention the beautiful Tasman Bay with its natural boulder bank providing shelter for the ships and foreshore.
Growing up in the region we were familiar with the stunning beauty of the Abel Tasman and its HikingTrack which is now so very popular with tourists the world over.

What makes this property unique

The very popular Mapua village is an easy bike ride away, or a 5 min drive, offering an array of interesting boutique shops, galleries ,cafes, live music, bars and restaurants.
Fish n chips on the beach, from the Smoke house are highly recommended.
Cyclists can explore numerous cycle trails in and around the area and catch the Ferry across to Rabbit Island for further adventures and a stunning child friendly sandy beach. # Please ask re availability of our complimentary E- Bikes. NB ( Available only to reservations of 2 nights minimum. ) The E Bikes may not be available during your stay. Please enquire re availability prior to booking.
Fishing off the local wharf and swimming at slack tide is a favourite pastime of local children.
Getting around
Mapua is the gateway to the famous Abel Tasman National Park. Drop off and pickups can be arranged upon request. We are surrounded by numerous beautiful vineyards that offer a high standard of cuisine.
The beautiful golden sands of Kaiteriteri, offering ferry trips along the Abel Tasman is just 30 mins away by car.
We are located just 15mins drive to Motueka and Richmond and 25mins to Nelson city.
