We had a wonderful time at the cottage. Friendly hosts and comfortable lodgings. seeing wild goats, emus, kangaroos and the horses were a treat. Fresh eggs from the coop. The only feedback is the house needed more heating as it was quite cool the days we were there. And make sure you bring plenty of food as the nearest shops are quite a drive and not well stocked.
We had a wonderfully peaceful stay as a family of four with two kids. The spacious grounds were perfect for the kids to explore, giving them plenty of room to roam and enjoy nature. Inside and out, the property was warm and inviting, with both indoor and outdoor fires—and plenty of firewood provided, which was a lovely touch. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the host was friendly and responsive. A beautiful and relaxing country escape—we’d love to come back!

That's a lovely review, Elizabeth! Thank you :) Welcome anytime!
A beautiful heritage cottage with cosy appointments and a stunning outlook.Paula and Jamie were diligent hosts, very responsive and generous. There were thoughtful touches throughout the cottage including board games, activities for the kids, and basic pantry items (including a range of spices, so appreciated). We enjoyed the indoor and outdoor areas, especially seeing the local deer and wallabies each morning. Jamie kept us well stocked with firewood to keep us warm, and the heaters and electric blankets were great backups. We'll definitely be back!
A hidden gem in the country side - pure relaxation!
From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home in this beautiful cabin. Surrounded by nature, it’s the perfect retreat for anyone looking to unwind and recharge. The cabin itself is cozy, stylish, and well-equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay.Mornings started with coffee on the deck, listening to the birds, and evenings were spent by the fireplace, enjoying the warmth and tranquility. The setting is private and peaceful, yet close enough to explore local trails and scenic spots.Thank you Paula for all of your assistance, we will be back!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Blueslate Cottage in Curraweela. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed by the warm and friendly hosts who have truly created a peaceful haven. The cottage itself is rustic and cozy, yet very well-appointed with everything we needed. It had a charming, lived-in feel that made us instantly relax. The views were stunning—especially the sunsets, which were nothing short of magical. Our daughter was absolutely delighted by the friendly horses, playful dogs, and cheerful chickens that provided us with the freshest eggs each morning. Wildlife was abundant, adding to the authentic bush experience, and the location is perfect for visiting Wombeyan Caves or just unwinding in nature. This place is a gem for families, couples, bushwalkers, and animal lovers alike. We couldn’t recommend it more highly—5 stars from us and we can't wait to return.
