This listing is beautiful. Very cozy, simple, and family-like design. All facilities are in good shape and well equipped, just like you'd want in your own home. Relatively quiet environment with nature sounds. Well-lit with natural sunlight. It's worth the budget!. Truly a retreat location. I hope to be there for more retreats in the future. Thank you.

It's really crappy when you book a cottage for a quiet getaway middle of the week and you arrive to find you have rented a construction zone, yard unfinished, literal 8 foot wall of huge tree logs, mud, all day trucks and workers next door. Table saw, literally 20 feet away, ran from early am to late afternoon both days. No sleeping in on vacay at at this place. Couldn't even sit on front deck. Was meant to be a memory with my daughter before she went back to university, very very disappointing. My daughter who is 24 and her two friends came out for the day...no privacy, construction guys and teenage girls wanting to suntan...not a good mix. No firewood, BBQ didnt work, not enough coffee to even make a pot, fly infestation in the house...probably due to all the dead wood and unfinished yard. No batteries in remotes, we had to buy in town. And at 11pm, pitch black out, the neighbour, who said she was cottage owners best friend, scares the crap out of us, skulking on front deck and banging on the windows, and peering in. Likely asked by owner to check on us, under the guise of joining them at their bonfire. Complete strangers, 11pm on a Tuesday night, who does that? Girls were freaked out all night. Who would rent ( and pay full price-300 a night!) when you can't even sit outside, use BBQ or firepit) constant noise, vehicles in and out all day, and construction workers within 20 ft the entire time? Owner knew, but said nothing nothing. Should have told us. Horrible!

We are sorry that your stay did not meet your expectations.
The furnace installation at the neighbouring cottage was delayed, and we regret the disruption this caused. We were not informed during your visit about the barbecue, batteries, flies, coffee, or other supplies; had we known, we would have worked to resolve these concerns promptly.
We also sincerely apologize that our friend approached the cottage late at night. We were not aware that she intended to visit, nor did we ask her—or anyone else—to check on, monitor, or approach you. We understand how an unexpected visit at that hour could have made you and your guests uncomfortable.
We appreciate your feedback and will review it carefully as we work to improve our guests’ experiences.
Our host was so wonderful. Easy to communicate with and incredibly accommodating. The cabin is super clean and comfortable. The village is super cute with a good restaurant, garden centre, and antique store. Very walkable neighbourhood and beautiful water front area. We had a great stay!
