Vaulted ceilings create a lofty ambience in the open plan living, dining and kitchen area with aircon and combustion fire, flooded with natural light from the high windows and doors that slide open for an easy transition to the outdoor deck with electric BBQ and comfortable seating. Two bedrooms, each with a Queen bed, in room reverse cycle aircon and ceiling fan, one ensuite, the second serviced by the main bathroom with a deep luxurious bath.
Your tariff is inclusive of bed and bath linen, unlimited WiFi, provisions for one eggs and bacon breakfast including tea, coffee pods, milk, juice, bread, butter, sugar and jams, also a selection of cereal for a lighter breakfast on remaining mornings.

This was a wonderful property to stay in. Many thoughtful touches, a beautiful location and lovely garden. It is also the only holiday home that I’ve known to have a coffee machine, grinder and beans, which were very welcome.

Ernie's Acre was a perfect stay for 2 couples plus a fur baby. House was superb with everything you could need including a gate to ensure fur baby did not wander. Communication with Sue was quick and easy. Oh, and the views from the deck were just sublime. Would definitely stay again - thanks Ernie's Acre!

Fantastic Clare Valley getaway

Beautiful new holiday home in Watervale.Perfectly setup for 2 couples as ensuite in main bedroom & full bathroom directly across hallway from second bedroom. Lovely country outlook from living area & rear deck. Nice and cozy for a winter getaway with combustion heater & split system in living area & split systems in both bedrooms. Would highly recommend!

There is an instant sense of calm and relaxation on arrival. As you step out onto the deck looking down on the tree studded town and out across the valley to the green vine covered hills beyond, you just want to take in slow, deep breaths of fresh country air. Everything feels spacious and open: from the acre of land with its little wishing well and Aussie windmill, budding orchard and sprouting vineyard to the generous rooms with vaulted ceilings and large windows providing views in all directions and glimpses of the cleverly decorated garden and landscape. The place is new and modern with quality finishes and thoughtful touches reflecting an eye for the aesthetic. We visit the Clare Valley frequently and this accommodation is an excellent base from which to venture out and explore the wineries and restaurants or to walk or ride the Riesling Trail. We look forward to enjoying the tranquil ambience of Ernie’s Acre again. Thank you, Sue!

Clare Valley delight

Watervale has a Suprise or two foe the travelling wine buffs. a delightful home on a huge block with every mod con imaginable.Well equipped and provisioned we spent 4 nights self catering before experiencing the delicious menu offered at the Watervale Hotel. do not miss it.
