Sunny Dayz is a beautifully remodeled two-bedroom gulf-view duplex, centrally located on Cape San Blas near Scallop Cove and San Flea Rental Store. Thoughtfully designed with a fun, colorful vibe downstairs and a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere upstairs, this coastal retreat offers the perfect balance of energy and tranquility.


In summer 2023, a new covered outdoor living space was added, complete with comfortable patio furniture and charming sun catchers—perfect for enjoying the coastal breeze, even during a rain shower. The picnic table has been relocated downstairs to create even more shaded space for grilling and dining together. (Plastic dishes, cups, and a pitcher are provided for outdoor entertaining.) Inside, the home features durable vinyl plank flooring throughout, with carpeted stairs. The kitchen is fully updated with stainless steel appliances, white cabinetry, granite countertops, stylish glass tile backsplash, and modern lighting.


Upstairs, both bedrooms include private en-suite bathrooms. The oceanside “Sunset” bedroom offers a king-size bed and a beautifully tiled glass shower, along with decorative whitewashed wood walls for a breezy coastal feel. The bayside bedroom also features a king-size bed and a tiled tub/shower combination, plus stunning sunrise views over Saint Joe Bay. Additional sleeping accommodations include a queen sleeper sofa and a twin pullout sleeper chair in the living area.


The private decks are ideal for unwinding—watch a spectacular sunset over the Gulf, listen to the soothing sounds of the waves, or stargaze from the upper deck. The home is less than 120 steps from the community boardwalk, which carries you over protected dunes to pristine white-sand beaches and sparkling waters.


Spend your days fishing in the surf, boating in the bay, biking along the scenic trails to St. Joseph Peninsula State Park—home to one of Florida’s most beautiful beaches—or simply soaking in the natural beauty all around you. This is my 2nd time staying here. I love the location - easy to walk to the store and other areas. I love the view. The kitchen is well equipped. The only thing I would maybe say is that there were areas that needed a deeper cleaning. I wiped up stuff off a wall and cleaned the shelves. But it was clean in general. We will definitely try to stay here again!

We have never stayed in a bad location while at the Cape but this was definitely one of the cleanest. It was also such a short walk to the beach even though you weren’t the front row, you still have a view from the balcony. We had everything we needed while we were there. Check in was super easy because the rental office is right across the street. It is also conveniently across from Scallops Cove which we love. We would definitely stay again

The best thing about our stay had to have been the location. Across the street from Sand Fleas Rental & Scallop Cove, and two minute walk tops to the ocean! The property had everything we needed kitchen wise. We hope to stay here again next year! Communication with the Property Management Team was prompt and curteous. I can't say enough great things about our trip!

Sunny Dayz was beautiful property. We stayed 3 nights so those looking for a longer stay may plan better than us. The property itself is beautiful! It is well furnished and decorated. It is an ocean view on onside and bay view(barely) on the other. Our trip in Nov needed additional blankets at times and their was not any in the bedrooms. Their was one downstairs in the living room area.When i checked out i spoke with the office about my stay. They asked if i had issues i told them yes. They were things like no trash cans in the upstairs bathrooms and towels in 1/2 bath. They labeled those as "inconveniences". I dont think those are inconveniences those are things that every bathroom should have in them. Cape San Blas is beautiful. This property is beautiful and the access to the beach is amazing. There a few places to eat nearby. I would recommend Coneheads! dont let the name fool you. Last recommendation if you go after sept please check on redtide. Our kayaking and water plans were pushed back plus the air quality was poor.

From relaxing on the beach to fishing in the state park I can’t be more pleased with my time there. The apartment was “like new” with a beautiful view of beach and sunset. By the time that was done, there was no place open to grab a bite to eat. Just frustrating.

Good location on beautiful Cape San Blas

We stayed for 4 nights and 3 days, coming to Port St. Joe to fish with our long time charter boat captain. The rental was just as described, and a friend and myself enjoyed us each having our own room and bathroom. We typically eat in for most meals, and the kitchen was adequately equipped for this. Strangely, they did not have potholders/hot pads, and the coffee maker was the old basket type with all the words worn off the buttons, and no filters provided. We called Coastal Joe Rentals and they had someone run over filters immediately-nice!! These were small annoyances, however, so overall it was a 5-star visit. The rental places on the Cape have really increased in price since Hurricane Michael and the pandemic, and since we did not stay a whole week the fees really decrease the value to price ratio.

Here are my suggestions to improve on what was nearly perfect: living room needs a bigger TV. The 32 inch didn’t cut it for the football game we watched. Add a TV to both upstairs bedrooms would be nice. Kitchen was in need of cooking spoons and utensils. Can’t have too many of those. Also, there were no baking sheets or pizza pans. Would have been really nice to have an enclosed outdoor shower for clean up after the beach. The hose downstairs worked pretty good though. Those are the things I’d fix to get the property from a 99 to a 100. We had a great time and would love to stay here again in the future!

Great time

My wife and I spent a week at Sunny Dayz in early July. We had stayed in the same neighborhood before, but never at this unit. Everything was 100% true to the listing. The unit has been remodeled and everything was well done. My wife loved the style of the unit. Living room was comfortable and relaxing. Everything in the kitchen worked well. Washer and dryer worked well also. Lower deck was nice to relax on and the upper deck had a nice ocean view. Upstairs, both bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice (especially the master bath). Both beds were also very comfortable. Short 2/3 minute was to the beach is great. Very convenient to everything on the Cape as well. In addition, the rental company (Costal Joe Vacation Rentals) were great to deal with. Check-in and check-out were super easy and their office was maybe 1 minute down the road. The first night we were there, we had a monster storm that knocked out the modem (it fried the power brick). After trouble shooting, I had to call Costal Joe. They were easy to deal with. They contacted the owner who scheduled a service call. A tech from the internet provider came out and had the internet service restored less than 24 hours after I called. Loved this place and we will definitely be back.

Relaxing week

We loved our time at Sunny Dayz! The home was clean and right next to the beach. You can look at the water from the top balcony. My only suggestion for the owners is to include a few more dish towels and towels, it was okay for my husband and I but a family would need to do laundry every day. We were SO happy with the location and the beaches on the cape. I 100% plan to stay here again.

The house is adorable, decorated beautifully and only a very short walk to the beautiful Cape San Blas beach. SUNNY DAYZ RENTAL REVIEW

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I love the Cape and always look forward to returning. Sunny Dayz is beautifully decorated! The location is good as well! However, the issue with the dryer not working needs to be addressed or a sign left so renters are aware of needing to unplug and re-plug the back of the dryer. Even after doing so, the dryer runs very hot and the dial in the front does not move so you have to continually check to see when the clothes are done. Also, there needs to be lighting underneath the unit and up both sets of stairs. There is a motion light for the side stairs, however, it did not come on all the time, which makes it hard to see in the dark. We were given two washclothes, for two people, to last our entire stay, and the bed sheets were poor quality. One set appeared to have blood stains. Fortunately, there are two beds! The unit could be cleaned more thoroughly. There was a hair tie and bar of soap left in the window of one shower, hand prints on the living room mirrors, and solo cups under the couch. The dishwasher does not work well and we ended up handwashing most of the dishes. I do not mean to be complaining alot, however, I want to be honest so this is known and can be corrected for future guests. Some dish rags would be nice as well as more than one pot holder. Having said all of this, we would stay there again and enjoyed the Cape, as always!
