We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Elizabeth's apartment. She communicated with us early on and our access to her place was effortless. It was spotless and well equipped - we lacked nothing. The bed was comfy with lovely bed linens and the towels were big and thirsty. The location, close to downtown Portsmouth, was ideal. The weather was cold so we drove but you can easily walk about. We definitely recommend this home away from home.

Short walk to downtown

The apartment was conveniently located near downtown Portsmouth and was clean and very comfortable. The neighborhood was well lit and quiet. This is the great place to stay if you wish to visit Portsmouth and southern Maine.Elizabeth was very responsive with information we requested prior to our stay.

Small but comfortable home with incredibly easy access to walk to downtown. The only downside was they were doing construction on the bridge about 50 yards away so it was very loud in the morning when they started working. Also traffic into town was fairly loud but it was a small price to pay for the convenience and comfort of this wonderful apartment!

Great location, kind hosts, but a bit noisy

My mom and I had a great stay here Monday-Friday in June. Unfortunately it’s right on the bridge they’re doing construction on, so noisy in the morning / daytime as early as 6am, and a bit noisy at night with kids in the street shouting til all hours. Overall we felt safe, it had what we needed for the week, and the hosts were kind!

The apartment was clean and extremely convenient to downtown Portsmouth. It had the basic needs. The only reason for not giving it a 5 is that the furniture and appliances were very basic. The oven and microwave didn't work very well, but the homeowner was great. I would definitely recommend though for 1 - 2 people.

It was a perfect spot for a couple. We were within a mile of restaurants and shops, and we walked just about everywhere we went. The first day we went to the local grocery store (did drive there) and stocked up for breakfast, but we ate out every other meal. Portsmouth is a foodie paradise and then a walk-it-all-off afterwards, so there is no guilt. The interstate to the Maine coast is adjacent to the property and easily accessible. We were comfortable the entire time. It was wonderful. No issues. Highly recommend.

Our stay at your apartment was wonderful. It was clean, well supplied and walking distance to town. The location allowed us to drive to Salem and Boston without having to check in and out of other apartments. I loved the bath towels. I’m fact, I ordered a few for my own home.

Portsmouth A Walk Away

I hate giving away a great secret, but if your staying in portsmouth this Apt is the place. Closer walk than you might think, especially if you do it a few times. Clean, Covenant, Wash/Dryer, TV, Nice Bed, Full Kitchen, Park in backyard, really was perfect. Priced much better than the hotels. I will be scheduling next years visit ASAP.

Great location to enjoy Portsmouth from

This is a nice apartment within easy walking distance of downtown Portsmouth. The walk to downtown is short and can mostly be via quiet street (past Barrios restaurant). The apartment is clean and has everything we needed. We spent a week there with half the week being vacation and half being work-from-anywhere. The building is quiet and the internet access was flawless creating a good work environment. And the easy-access to downtown made for wonderful cafe and restaurant trips and everything else beautiful Portsmouth has to offer.

Lovely property

This one bedroom apartment is well-designed to take full advantage of the space and is very well-equipped. The bed is very comfortable. Off-street parking is a true advantage with the ability to easily walk to all that Portsmouth has to offer. The back yard access to a wonderful public park overlooking the river is the icing on the cake. Traffic noise first thing in the morning is the only downside but can be diminished by using a fan or 'white noise' app. Highly recommend this apartment and I have already booked for 2024!

cleanest property we've had to date =)

the listing indicated that the property had been updated. Well it was done with taste and functionality with many brand new accessories. Parking area behind the house is clean well laid-out and plenty spacious. Although on a very busy street (which is quiet at night) the location of the property is very well centered to all facilities be it grocery, shops or touristic activities. Lastly, communications with Elizabeth the owner was excellent. She always responded promptly no matter the subject. Overall we truly enjoyed this property and would likely stay there again if we are in this area.

Lingering questions.

It was a mystery to us what we were paying for with the cleaning and service fees! I knew beforehand from the pics that the table and chairs were night top, but I challenge anyone to say that they belong in this unit. The AC was poor and very noisy.

Wonderful location

Being next to the Piscataqua River and able to enjoy the view from a park just behind the property was lovely. Paired with that aspect of the location is the easy and inviting walking to uptown restaurants, historical buildings, and even Strawberry Banke. Proximity to a grocery store and a well-equipped kitchen helped us prepare meals as desired.

Would definitely stay here again!

I love this place! I definitely will stay here if I ever am in Portsmouth again. Portsmouth is a very walkable city, with expensive parking…..so this apartment is perfect for enjoying your vacation. You can leave your car behind the apartment house, and in 10 minutes, you can walk downtown to Market Square. There are many restaurants and coffee shops to choose from. I recommend taking the walking tour from the Historical Society. Also check out whatever is playing at The Music Hall—there are speakers, entertainers, and movies. Some of the nice amenities in the apartment are the electric kettle (there is a coffee pot, but I am not a coffee drinker), the washer/dryer, and a well-furnished kitchen. My favorite amenity was the keyless entry….just punch in a code and you can lock or unlock the door. The apartment is on the first floor. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. It was perfect for me (a single older woman). Thanks for providing such nice accommodations!

Second stay here - great again!

Stayed here two weeks, this is my second year vacationing here: love the location: close enough to walk into town: about 1 mile walk to my favorite coffee spot downtown and most restaurants. Fairly quiet, though lots of traffic on the road in front. Comfortable, clean, recently renovated one bedroom apartment. Hope I can stay again next year!

Awesome location in downtown Portsmouth!!

This was a great place for my wife and I to stay for 2 weeks and enjoy downtown Portsmouth. Plenty of room for the two of us and we loved being in downtown Portsmouth, walk to everything and still have ease of parking the car in the parking lot. Owner was great to work with and we would definitely stay here again!!! Bill & Cathy
