Choices on “what to do today?” : with three different tram lines you could go into the city, or walk to the cake shops in Acland Street, or wander across the road to the beach and the St Kilda pier which leads to the fairy penguins. Maybe watch the yachts race on a Wednesday or take it easy by simply sitting in the front sun room (with double glazing which makes it quiet inside), and wait for the sun to set over Catarni Gardens and the water. This large, spacious apartment with all the art deco features such as the high ceilings and the art deco glass in the doors also has polished floorboards.

Why they chose this property
I love love love St Kilda. It has everything. Go to a live concert (Palais Theatre - 5 mins walk), the famous Espy Hotel (closer than the Palais, Acland Street cake shops, and let’s not forget Luna Park that has existed since 1912 and still operates. Take the tram to the city or a bus to a different suburb. Across the road is Catarni Gardens, St Kilda Yacht Club, St Kilda beach, fairy penguins or catch a ferry to Williamstown for lunch
