This was a family vacation. The home was perfect, nicely decorated and comfortable for all. We loved the outdoors nice light path to the water and the kids loved the kayaks and canoes. The firepit was a winner s’mores every night eaten by all.Any problems we text or called and got answers immediately. Very helpful. We would definitely rent again.
This cabin within the Camelot Forest community was perfect for a girls getaway. When we walked in, we were immediately blown away by how big and spacious it was and the amount of space for sleeping arrangements. When we booked it, we were hesitant about the fact that there was no AC and it was August, but it was so cool inside, it honestly felt like there was AC, especially in the basement. The lake is so small and private, we enjoyed taking the kayaks and canoes out in the evenings. There is also a small beach and swimming area right around the corner, although we did not have time to try it out. There were a few essential things that we were missing from the kitchen, but a quick run to dollar general fixed that. There were a few other small things that need to be fixed or updated, but none of it distracted from our fun. If you plan on taking a large group and using the pull-out couches, I would recommend taking some extra sheets. I would definitely book this cabin again.
The property was nice including the location. I stayed for 2 nights and the only things I didn't like are the following:
1) The sheets in the upper room look like someone just slept in them and they were not replaced, I could smell the sheets and the odor of the person who last slept on them.
2) The wifi password posted in the house was not working so we didn't have internet for 3 days.
3) There was a terrible odor at the back of the house facing the lake. I think it was a compost trashcan that might have not been cleared prior.
4) Poor communication with the manager. She asked us how our stay was and we brought up these issues, but she never responded back.
