The place was quite different than what we expected. It looks like a tremendous loft apartment in the pictures, but it had the feel of a very quickly flipped apartment. In particular, the walls were a kind of fake particle board made to look like concrete. And so they transmitted noise between all the rooms as though we were all sleeping/showering/etc in the same room. Adding to that noise factor, there is also a somewhat rough bar below the apartment and it was quite loud until very late at night, especially when the bar closed and un-sober people seemed in the habit of hanging out on the street below. There was an odor as well. The sheets may have been freshly washed, but the comforters on the beds had no comforter cover to wash between guests and they smelled just awful. Finally, there was unfortunate confusion at the checkout. We had asked for a late checkout as our flights out were not until the afternoon. We were granted a late checkout and chose to leave for brunch, but unfortunately this information was not transmitted to anyone. Not the maid service, nor the manager covering for that weekend, nor the guests that were checking in that day. Of course the owners did not need to grant us a late checkout, but we would have proceeded with our morning (and especially our luggage!) very differently had we just been told that a late checkout was not possible for our group on that day. It just seemed slipshod all around.
