About this property

3BR Nature Retreat | Pizza Oven + Firepit

Summary:

'Tranquil Nature Sanctuary', a peaceful retreat backing onto a five-acre koala reserve. Enjoy nature, a kitchen with a BBQ/pizza oven, fire pit, and spacious deck. Perfect for families and nature lovers, small pets welcome outdoors on request!

The Space:

Welcome to 'Tranquil Nature Sactuary', suburban living with a five-acre nature reserve as your backyard bonus.

This private three-bedroom retreat sits at the rear of the home and backs directly onto protected koala habitat. You’ll have your own entrance, living areas, kitchen, bathroom, deck and backyard. The front section may be occupied by the owner or other guests, but it is completely separate, with no shared indoor spaces.

Inside, there’s room for up to seven guests, with two queen bedrooms, a flexible third bedroom (double, King Single and single trundle), a full kitchen, refreshed lounge and dining areas, two toilets, laundry facilities and a back deck that may quickly become everyone’s favourite room.

Why You’ll Love It

• Three bedrooms sleeping up to seven

• Five-acre nature reserve beyond the back gate

• Large covered deck with outdoor dining

• Built-in BBQ and pizza oven

• Firepit beneath the stars

• Full kitchen with dishwasher and coffee maker

• Washer, dryer and two toilets

• Native birds, backyard finches and possible koala sightings

• Herb and vegetable garden

• Peaceful Alexandra Hills location

Lounge and Dining

The refreshed living area has comfortable seating for six, a TV and plenty of room to gather without everyone balancing on the armrest.

Choose between the indoor dining table for four or the outdoor table for eight on the covered deck.

Full Kitchen

Cook up a feast, organise an easy breakfast or hand dinner duties over to the pizza oven.

The kitchen includes:

• Oven and stovetop

• Full-sized fridge and freezer

• Dishwasher

• Microwave

• Coffee maker

• Built-in BBQ

• Pizza oven

• Cookware, crockery and utensils

Bedroom One

The main bedroom includes:

• Queen bed

• Wardrobe

• TV

• Direct access to the back deck

Bedroom Two

The second bedroom includes:

• Queen bed

• TV

• Storage

Bedroom Three

A flexible room for children, colleagues or extra guests.

• King single bed

• Single trundle bed

• Separate single bed

• Desk and chair

• Wardrobe

Bathroom and Laundry

The upgraded bathroom includes:

• Shower

• Vanity

• Toilet

• Washing machine

• Dryer

There is also a separate second toilet next door, because seven guests and one toilet is a logistical experiment nobody needs on holiday.

Covered Back Deck

This is where the home earns its nature-retreat credentials.

The expansive covered deck overlooks the garden and reserve, with an outdoor dining table for eight and a lounge setting with a three-seater sofa and two armchairs.

Start the day with coffee and birdsong, settle in with a book or fire up the BBQ while the kids stretch their legs on the lawn.

Backyard and Nature Reserve

Open the back gate and step directly into five acres of protected parkland and koala habitat.

The reserve offers open green space, children’s play areas and a designated dog exercise area. Keep an eye out for native birds and local wildlife, including the occasional koala quietly judging everyone from above.

A motorhome may occasionally be parked to one side of the backyard. It is usually off exploring the countryside and, when it is home, it sits away from the main guest areas.

Firepit

When local conditions allow, gather around the firepit for an evening beneath the stars.

One bag of firewood is provided. Additional bags are available for $35 each; simply enquire during your stay.

Guests must follow all local fire restrictions and the instructions provided at the property.

Herb and Vegetable Garden

Guests are welcome to pick fresh herbs and any seasonal produce ready during their stay.

Dinner tastes especially satisfying when part of it was collected from the garden five minutes earlier

Guest Access:

The keys are in a lockbox at the front entrance. Use the provided access code to retrieve them.

The Neighborhood:

Alexandra Hills is a quiet, family-friendly suburb in Redland City, about 25 km from Brisbane. It features leafy streets, parks, and nature areas like Alexandra Hills Bicentennial Park and Scribbly Gums Conservation Area. The area has good schools, convenient shopping, cafés, and public transport, with easy access to Brisbane and the coast. Residents enjoy a safe, welcoming community ideal for families.

Outlook over the parkland/reserve was a key of this property which made it a pleasant and relaxing place for meals and kicking back. Very comfortable and well appointed. Will definitely consider staying there again.
