The Foxwoods Cottage was wonderfully charming with so many small personal touches that made the place feel so special. The house is extremely kid friendly with a wonderful kids rooms equipped with toys, books, tea sets, a hidden room though a wardrobe and so much more. The backyard is great for kids to adventure around in and the zip line is a blast.The kitchen is probably the first kitchen at a vacation rental I’ve encountered that actually is equipped well enough to cook.The whole place felt upscale and charming, all amenities listed were available and many others were provided that weren’t listed. The beds all had mattress toppers and were comfortable enough.The house was spotless and clean and the host was wonderfully accommodating and easy to communicate with.Can’t recommend this place enough. The place is so charming and so well thought out.Thank you Foxwood for a wonderful and memorable stay.

The property had very cute touches inside and out. We enjoyed the zip line and the kids enjoyed the slide inside the silverware could be replaced with more everyday silverware. The ants were a bit overwhelming outside, and we got bit all over our ankles. The interior could do with a few updates like carpeting on the stairs and upstairs, which was pretty dirty. The espresso machine did not work and neither did the Nintendo because it was not compatible with the TV.

We loved every minute of our stay at Foxwood Cottage. The surrounding location is picturesque—the apple trees in the neighbor’s yard were in bloom, the creek babbled past in the backyard, the wind rustled through the tall trees. My kids loved the mud kitchen, I loved the outdoor seating and fire pit, and we all loved the zipline that sent us soaring across the property and over the creek area. My kids (and husband) also loved the indoor slide from the second floor (faster than stairs!), and a month later my kids are still talking about the secret room behind the wardrobe. They even argued over who got to sleep in there! The other bedrooms were all so beautifully appointed that it was hard to decide which room I wanted to sleep in. I chose the downstairs bedroom with the couch, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Everything was brand new and spotless. I especially appreciated the bedside USB charging stations and plush robes . Every amenity was thought of and provided, and I couldn’t find anything that could have made the stay better. If I had forgotten something, there was even an honor-system “sundry shop” set up in the living room that would have prevented a trip to the store. My whole family is looking forward to another stay at this top-notch retreat.

We loved our stay here! Spent the weekend for my daughter's 16th birtbday with a few friends and it was a perfect experience! The teens had a blast on the zipline, used the slide a bunch and just over all had a fun and relaxing time exploring! The house is very cute and clean, and the little touches throughout really take it up a notch!
