Tucked on a private five acres in the middle of the national forest, The Burrow has everything you need to feed your soul!
Perfect for cozy getaways or large gatherings, The Burrow boasts three floors of fun. The loft has a TV sitting area, a toy hideaway closet that children love, and a king master bedroom with en suite bathroom and walk in closet. (The master bath is a walk-in corner shower, and on the small side.) The main floor has two queen bedrooms, play pens in each closet, a full bathroom (standard tub/shower), a fully stocked kitchen, and a huge family room with a wall of windows overlooking the national forest. The basement has another full bathroom (large walk-in shower), a bedroom with another queen bed and a twin bunk bed. The basement also has a huge game area with another TV sitting area, pool table, ping pong table, a wall of Nerf guns, two twin bunk beds, and a full over full bunk bed - with three additional sleeping mats under the bunks. Every kid’s dream come true!
Wi-Fi is provided but fair warning: you’re in the middle of the forest and it’s not super mega blastoid speed. You’ll have difficulty streaming. There is also no TV/Satellite service. We do provide two large binders full of DVDs for all ages. And there’s more time to enjoy the plethora of board games, card games and puzzles!
We’re also proud to boast that the Burrow has central heat and A/C in the main areas- a rarity in a Payson cabin. The bedrooms come equipped with their own heaters and fans as well.
While the house itself is a blast, you won’t stay indoors for long. The star of this show is NATURE. The wraparound porch lets you soak up the beauty of northern Arizona from every angle. Then there’s the hammocks, volleyball net, spike ball, ladder ball, bocce ball, horseshoes, and several other outdoor games. And we can’t forget to mention the countless hikes and trails right outside the door, as well as lakes less than thirty minutes away!
NEW- We are now pleased to offer garbage service! We have two bins that are picked up every Thursday. Anything that doesn’t fit in the bins must be hauled away. The bins are located at the end of the street by the mailboxes.
For our disabled friends, keep in mind this house does require stairs and is not wheelchair friendly. For friends with young children, we provide two stair safety gates, two play pens, and one strap on infant seat/high chair. For large groups, there is a second refrigerator located just outside the walk out basement in the tool shed.
