 "Jagdhaus Schönau an der Brend" from 1912, which you have all to yourself with 2500sqm garden and 400sqm of living space. Our house is family run. We can be contacted directly and reliably. You will be received and adopted personally.
10 bedrooms, (8 double rooms, 1 2-3 bed room, 1 single room), 2 kitchens, 4 bathrooms (6 showers, 3 bath tubs). With WLAN, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, 3 refrigerators, 2 cookers / ovens, stereo systems w. USB, TV have the greatest comfort. High quality, comfortable mattresses, well-kept bedding.
In the middle of Germany, in a very quiet location, it is suitable with exclusive equipment and an infinite amount of space for your family reunion, your well-kept celebration, or simply for a quiet and romantic holiday in the hiking and cross-country paradise of Rhön. You arrive and can relax: the house is preheated in the cold season. For the children there are toy boxes (wooden train, Lego and many more) ready. You can start hiking right outside the door. In summer there is a great swimming pool with slide within walking distance. The village shop is in the immediate vicinity.

The unique equipment with old tiled and iron stoves, floorboards, wall paintings, hunting trophies and old pictures creates an incomparable holiday feeling. The comfort of 2 perfectly equipped kitchens, 4 elegant bathrooms with 6 shower options, 4 toilets, a new central heating and WLAN also meet the highest demands. You can relax on the terrace behind the house, beautiful wooden furniture, parasols, 4 charcoal grills and 9 deck chairs are available. For children there is a swing, sandpit, sand toys, bobby cars, bicycles and above all a lot of space in the huge orchard. It's easy here, the kids can play soccer, climb the trees and be loud at times.
Everyone can find what they need here. Quiet and seclusion to dive into. Dream the day in a deck chair under the quince tree. Or explore the area by bike on the many well-mapped bike paths. There are many opportunities for beautiful activities, cultural visits or hikes in one of the most sought-after and comprehensive hiking areas in Germany.
The summer and winter toboggan run on the Wasserkuppe is very entertaining for children and adults. In winter you can go skiing and extensive cross-country skiing in the immediate vicinity.
For families with children, the spacious space inside and outside and the certainty that the little ones can frolic in the completely fenced property ensure relaxation.
In the cooler days you can fire a tiled stove, a cannon stove and a Swedish stove, firewood is available. Of course there is also a new central heating system.
An exclusive house with lots of nice details like candles and lanterns - lots of lovely little things create a wonderful atmosphere.
The landmarked house, which was extensively restored up to 2012, was combined with many antiques from the inventory and pretty new things. All beds have new high quality mattresses and slatted frames. The bedding is new, washable and suitable for allergy sufferers. There is 1 large living room with several seating areas, TV and stereo.
In the dining room there is space for up to 20 people on a beautiful table, next door in the hunting room 6-8 people can sit at a Rhön table. 20 people can also sit on the terrace and celebrate comfortably. For smaller groups, tables can be set up in the dining room so that nothing appears too large.
The 2 kitchens are extensive and of high quality: large refrigerators, large pots, casserole dishes, roast goose, numerous serving plates, sufficient white crockery, elegant cutlery and well-kept glasses - here you can cook festively and beautifully, and surrounded by a painted angel choir (ceiling painting) Bucolic fruit tendrils (mural) wonderfully.

This house is an art historical treasure chest, in which almost everything remains unchanged, as it was 100 years ago: built in 1912 in the historicist style of a Swiss house, with ventilated paintings on the facade and also over and over painted inside. A groomed grouse greets from the wall in the magnificent entrance area, the carved coat hooks and the painted grandfather clock are beautiful. The lamps, the old doors, original fittings, box windows and authentic floorboards are cozy. The house was awarded a monument prize by the Hyypo Cultural Foundation 2012.
The large garden with old fruit trees and well-tended lawn always offers something for the eye: in spring a carpet of march cups blooms, in summer the peonies glow, in autumn the apples and quinces. In winter, the snow sure
Rhön for a white splendor. In the evening, turning necks rock on the meadow, martens and squirrels come to visit, and it is quiet here anyway.
