Amazing week at this beautiful home! The views were incredible and our family of five enjoyed every minute. The beds were so comfortable and everything was set up perfectly for reading, napping, games, and just enjoying the view. We definitely hope to come back!

Perfect vacation! Everything was so easy. There was everything you need - paddle boards, bikes, beach chairs, etc. House was clean - towels and sheets provided and stocked kitchen (pots, pans, dishes, coffee machine, seasonings, etc.). We had one small issue with the stove and it was addressed immediately. Beautiful property, amazing views and sunsets, beach close by. This was our second time staying here and we’d definitely go back!

Best vacation rental ever!

We absolutely loved everything about this rental. It is charming, beautiful, historic, and well appointed to make the stay easy and enjoyable. The views of the sunset, fishing boats, spotter planes, and fish factory smoke stack are breathtaking. They supply kayaks and other fun items for water sports. There is not one single thing I can think of that needs improvement. Every member of my family fell in love with the home and views.

Just what we needed!

Welcomed with a view of the bay, so inviting along with a personalized welcome sign. We were so excited we took a family pic in the kitchen with the bay in the back. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of activities for the family. Might have to Google a little for outside house activities but once you find it’s a lot of fun. Great place to to reconnect with family. Thanks for the stay!!!

Beautiful house and views

The house is beautiful with amazing views! King Bed is very comfortable. Kitchen has everything you need to cook and is spacious. Loved the amount of space for relaxing outside. Grill is great. Lots of outdoor toys that we did not have a chance to use, but we plan to return. Owners were great to work with and timely in response.

Katherine and her husband are the epitome of the most gracious, lovely guests any host could ask for. They dealt with a heating system break they entire time they were there; had to have multiple service providers interrupt their getaway, and pitched in to help troubleshoot and repair.

Great place to stay with family

The property was gorgeous with an incredible waterfront view. We were able to fish, crab, kayak, paddleboard and have a campfire! Host was responsive and provided plenty of paper products and towels. Renovations were beautifully done. Couches and beds were very comfortable. Bunk room was a huge plus for our tweens and teens. If you have young ones or limited mobility, be aware that floors are uneven and steep stairs due to the age of the house. Getting down to the pier would be difficult too, as the embankment is steep and a little slippery. Downstairs bedroom and attached bath was great for the grandparents. Proximity to shops in Reedville and Fleeton was convenient. Internet and phone service really left a lot to be desired. Kitchen was well-stocked and there were plenty of crabbing supplies provided. Although, some were rusted and the lid for the large steaming pot was missing. Really liked the games, puzzles, and outdoor activities provided for the whole family as well. Overall 10/10 would stay here again!

Family Thanksgiving in Virginia

Family Thanksgiving in Virginia A beautiful piece of property on an amazing location. Very convenient to my family’s places in Fleeton. Most members of the group were so impressed that they have said they would like to retire there.

Loved it!

The house is beautiful and the property was amazing! Some of our favorite things included watching the spotter planes taking off and landing, kayaking, sitting on the dock and fishing, swimming in the bay and enjoying morning coffee on the porch. We loved our stay!

Fabulous stay and charming house

The house was clean and well appointed with everything needed for a great stay. The homeowner was kind and responsive. We had a great stay overall! We stayed in the middle of winter, but got to enjoy the fabulous fire pit and even spotted an otter in the river!

Perfect, Beautiful and Fun!

First of all, the house was beautiful. It has all the historic charm, but updated with great design and beautiful wood floors. The view could not be better, and there was so much to do without ever leaving the property. We thoroughly enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boards, the boat dock, crabbing and fishing. We used the grill, outdoor tables for some of the meals, the outdoor seating and two teenage cousins got a lot of use out of the slam ball game. There was also some serious cousin monopoly competition.

Great getaway!

The views and weather were amazing. The house was very well equipped and we thoroughly enjoyed all the outdoor seating options with three different porches, loungers, rocking chairs, picnic table, firepit with adirondacks, hammock and plenty of shade to enjoy the fabulous location. We will be back!
