Our Happy Place in Cowes

About the home

“Our Happy Place” is a delightful single-storey family and pet-friendly home (pets to stay outside please) with an incredible large electric-heated spa in Cowes, just a 50m comfortable walk from the beach access, 10 - 15 mins walk to a dog friendly beach and a short drive from the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:

Indoor Areas

A central hallway provides access to Bedroom 1, which features a WIR and ensuite (with shower & toilet) as well internal access to the Garage. The large central open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living Room (with 55" smart TV, Nintendo Wii, chromecast and an assortment of card & board games) flows through to a small rear hallway that provides access to Bedrooms 2 and 3 (each with BIR), a fully equipped Laundry (with washing machine & clothes dryer), a Bathroom (with bath & shower) and a separate Toilet.

Outdoor Areas

The covered outdoor entertaining area (with 5-burner gas BBQ and seating for 6) overlooks the enclosed rear yard with the centrepiece an amazing 8-10 seater electric heated spa (with awning), plus a firepit (wood not provided). Children and pets will love the enclosed yard (pets to stay outside please) and the Double Garage (with table tennis table & internal access to the home) provides parking space for 1 car, with another vehicle (car or a boat) able to park in the driveway.

Kitchen

The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, dual air fryer, Nespresso pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, 900mm electric oven and 5-burner gas cook top.

Heating/Cooling Systems

There is a ducted cooling system throughout the home, wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioners in all 3 Bedrooms, a ceiling fan in Bedroom 1 and a firepit in the rear yard (wood not provided).

Bedding Configuration

This home has 4 beds, plus 2 sofa beds and 1 fold out bed, accommodating up to 12 guests:

Bedroom 1: One Queen bed
Bedroom 2: One Queen bed
Bedroom 3: One Tri-bunk

Please note: The Tri-bunk has a double bed base with a single bed above it.

There is also two Double sofa beds in the Living Room suitable for 2 adults or children each, plus one Single fold out bed available to be used where required.

Linen

It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.

Peak Periods

Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.

Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies

Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies.
