The Garden Apartment is a micro dwelling of 45m2 + 9m2 mezzanine bunk space. It has a 30m2 deck area opening out to a private garden space. Its a 5 minute walk to the beach and cafes, not to mention the legendary Paekakariki Escarpment track.
The kitchen is equipped with a sandwich press/ toaster and basic supplies. Bathroom has generous shower with opening skylight which acts to ventilate the entire house.

William Giesen is the property owner and architect of this project. As such he loves to share the design by welcoming guests to experience the space for a couple of nights.
Why they chose this property
Paekakariki is nestled between the sea and mountains. Going on Long walks/runs /swimming and going to the community sauna are favorite activities for us.
What makes this property unique
This is a model house for a small family of max 3 people. It combines a cathedral ceiling and large opening to create a sense of space. It is set to be published in magazines in early 2026
