Nestled one street back from Castletown beach, Folktales Rest is a Tasmanian built cottage- style tiny home perfect for couples or inspired travellers looking for a luxury retreat. Experience the timeless beauty of Folktales with her rustic charm and old world character. Relax in the deep claw foot bath tub or laze on the comfy lounge for some down time.

Please kindly note Folktales is not suited for children or pets with the design of the property and the nature of our delicate furnishings.
Folktales also has stairs with a loft style master bedroom (not full standing height) that may not suit mobility restrictions. Please consider this before booking.
Please note you`ll need to walk up stairs to a loft bed, if you have mobility issues this may not be for you.
We have a wood fire, if you are not familiar or comfortable with using a fireplace, please use the air conditioning and heat pump instead.
Folktales Rest is 1 street away from the beach, on a nice evening you can hear the ocean waves with the window slightly ajar (suitable only on a night without wind).
Photoshoots are by prior arrangement and at an additional cost.

Folktales rest is tiny stay for two, please respect our place by refraining from having parties or extra guests.
Cleaning:
Leave the bed unmade, no need to strip them.
please wash the dishes and leave them to dry on the drying mat (found under the sink)
Check all doors and windows are closed when leaving.

With an abundance of the worlds best beaches, the sand and ocean means that the secret is out about this beautiful once hidden paradise. With the remoteness of Esperance you can create a lasting memory by visiting and seeing it with your own eyes. Often you may even have the chance to have an entire beach to yourself. Esperance provides the true Australian experience. On a beautiful day, people visiting will say that they have never seen anything like this place. It's quickly becoming a world class bucketlist destination and definitely provides endless stunning instagrammable photos. Be sure to keep a look out for whales and dolphins enjoying the stunning crystal clear waters.
What makes this property unique
Folktales Rest is fast becoming Esperance's most iconic stay. Our stunning vintage tiny home cottage is less than 100 metres from the beach. The cedar wood tiny home cabin is decorated with vintage pieces that provide a feeling of home. The wooden shutters from the loft are 109 years old from France, renourished with Scandanvian oil. Wind down the blind and slide shut the wooden barn door to enjoy a soak in the claw foot bath tub in our serene bathroom. If the evening is calm, you may open the windows to hear the ocean waves while falling to sleep to the stars through our loft bedroom skylights above.
