Welcome to your riverfront escape! Our newly renovated shack is set right on the Murray, just 10 minutes upstream from Mannum, and is designed with families and groups in mind. With six bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, two spacious living areas, downstairs and upstairs and sweeping river views from the upstairs decks, it’s the perfect place to relax, play, and reconnect.

2 bedrooms (1 queen, 2 singles), bathroom & toilet, laundry, kitchenette & lounge, and access to the undercover entertaining area.

Check-Out:
We ask guests to leave the shack tidy (do dishes, return red dishes downstairs, put rubbish in bins, and clean appliances used). Your cleaning fee is refundable if these are done.

This is a shack designed for family memories — whether you’re skiing and fishing, watching the kids play on the lawns, sharing pizza by the fire, or simply relaxing with a glass of wine as the sun sets over the Murray.

All reviews prior to my stay seemed great. Since Lisa has bought this property the cleanliness was not acceptable. For the price we paid I wouldn’t expect to find a dirty hair tie in the bed, body hair under pillows, crumbs in beds, mouse poo in cupboards, balls, pens and food under couches, blocked dishwasher drains because filters aren’t cleaned, shower drains full of hair and slime. I shouldn’t have had to wear thongs in showers and clean toilets on arrival. I do not recommend this property. I tried to contact the owner multiple times asking her to call me but she never replies.

We’re genuinely disappointed as this review feels less like constructive feedback and more like an attempt to seek compensation. You chose to stay for the full duration of your booking while continuing to contact us afterwards requesting refunds, which makes situations like this very challenging for small, family-run property owners. For clarity, we use a professional private cleaning company for every stay, and we have proudly owned and managed the shack since August. Cleanliness and presentation are extremely important to us. In relation to the photos provided: • The shower drains are cleaned and maintained monthly due to natural river conditions and river water sediment. • The toilet water can at times appear brown due to untreated river water, which is a normal characteristic of riverfront properties. • The dishwasher filter is accessible and cleaned as part of routine servicing. • Minor crumbs photographed near appliances can occur during a stay. • Items such as hair ties found in bedding were not present prior to check-in. We stand by the condition the property was presented in and the standards we maintain, and we will continue to provide a well-maintained riverfront holiday home for guests who understand and appreciate the unique nature of staying on the river.

Good location, lovely dock and roomy. Close to Mannum to pop into for meals and shops. Could do with more forks, loo paper, replacement bin liners, teatowels and more than one cloth to wipe kitchen etc. But a nice place to stay all the same
