This property served us well for our staff working retreat. Although not super new or updated the property was clean. Our host responded to needs and questions quickly. We particularly appreciated that each bedroom had a private bathroom. We would return for a future retreat.

While The Gleneagle is not marketed as a newly renovated luxury property, it is consistently maintained, professionally cleaned, and designed to provide a comfortable and spacious gathering place for groups, families, and retreats visiting Galena. We were happy to promptly assist with the few requests that came up during your stay and are pleased to hear you would return for a future retreat. Regarding arrival, we do provide detailed pre-arrival instructions including the full address, turn-by-turn directions, and a direct Google Maps link to the property, but we will continue looking for ways to make the distinction between Gleneagle Drive and Gleneagle Court even clearer for future guests. The Gleneagle property was just perfect for all of us. The rooms were a good size and each one had a bathroom! (And also had a box of Kleenex, which was just one of the many little added touches). Each shower had shampoo, conditioner and body wash. The kitchen had everything you would need while on vacation. The hot tub was so much fun and it fits a lot of people. And very easy to use. There was nothing lacking. I would definitely stay here again!

Cozy Holiday Retreat

The Gleneagle was the perfect home for our family to celebrate our mom’s 70th birthday. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. The house was very clean and well cared for. We loved exploring Galena during the Christmas season and really enjoyed sledding and the holiday festival in town. We were so excited that there was a Christmas tree and a wood burning fireplace— it was wonderful!
