This is a lovely, welcoming home teeming with books, art and peaceful vibes. My friends and I felt immediately at home and took much joy in discovering all the special things about the house and property. And the view. And the fox, chipmunks, hawks and ravens. And learning about our host’s story through her own book on a shelf. I would highly recommend this house and Irene to all who relish beauty in nature, literature and creativity.

The views are great, but the house wasn’t clean compared to most nice vrbos. Another factor is it is quite a treck to get to the house on switchback roads.

If you're looking for a quiet mountain retreat, this could be the place. However, as a frequent traveler of short term rentals, this one fell short of expectations, especially for the price.We encountered a strong pet odor in one bedroom that made it unusable. We reached out to Evolve and VRBO, who were responsive and sent a cleaning crew quickly, but the odor was unchanged afterward, so it didn't seem to be thoroughly addressed. The mattress in another bedroom was uncomfortable, and the listing states the home sleeps 8, but we only counted sleeping space for 6. Maybe we missed counting the living room sofa bed.Overall cleanliness was decent, but the details were lacking: windows were dirty, the sofas were worn and stained, the master bath shower curtain needs replacing, and there was no window covering over the bathtub. The outdoor deck felt cluttered with too many decorative knick knacks, adding visual noise to an otherwise nice space.This property has real potential, tightening up these details would make a big difference.

The home is the most intimate and authentic VRBO/vacation rental we have ever stayed in. The location was perfect for getting away while also having access to Boulder when needed. The surrounding hikes were incredible and the hot tub was a great place to end the day afterward. Could not recommend enough.
