Great cabin with a super cozy feel! !

We loved this cabin! Plenty of spaces to be, meet, sleep, and eat. This cabin is tastefully decorated. The ice maker was a bonus. The hot tub was amazing!!

Excellent Space for an Offsite Retreat

This property was the perfect space for an offsite work retreat for 10-12 adults. Excellent common spaces inside and out for formal and informal gathering times. Bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. Everyone had their own space. Property was clean and the host was very helpful and accommodating. I highly recommend this property and will be returning here for all our future offsite retreats.

Lots of space for family!

Great communication from host. Lots of room between the main house, chalet, and apartment. Close to plenty of activities - hiking, fishing, Anchorage. Plenty of amenities provided - grill, dishes and silverware, pots and pans, games for kids, playground. All around a great place for a large group, and can spread out to not be on top of each other. Great Property and Host

Second time staying at this property with a group of high school student cross country runners and coaches. The girls team and our female coach stayed in the smaller unit, and the boys and other coaches in the larger (because of different team sizes). Plenty of room to spread out, and have the kids do homework assignments, sleep comfortably, and relax after the races. Big screen TV, comfy furniture, post race hot tub, nice up to date kitchen, and easy parking. The host was super helpful and easily available during our stay. Highly recommend!

Best Rental & host ever!

We rented the cabin, chalet, & apartment which all were very nice! Our niece’s family live in Anchorage so 30 of us traveled from KY to visit her. This property was amazing. We ranged from 17 months to 67 years old and this place worked out perfectly. Everyone had a great time. The swing set, frisbee golf, both hot tubs & outside living areas…so much fun! We also saw a moose & her baby in the evening!! We can’t say enough about the host. So nice & accommodating! Definitely a great rental for families!

Perfect for large families.

Aprille was very helpful and a joy to talk to. She helped me revise the original reservation. She gave me many good tips about the area, regarding activities to do and sites to see. She was very accessible regarding questions during our stay. Her property was beautiful, comfortable, well arranged and fun. We were a group of 22 family members and we still had 2 empty twin beds available. Aprille's property is everything she promises and then some. The only way it could have been better is if we had the time to spend a few more days there.

Family Getaway

Our family of 18 had an amazing time. We played out back, sat in the hot tub, cooked many meal, and even had 2 moose lounge in the yard for the evening. What a special time. The house is so well stocked and has everything you need. The little cabin out back was perfect. It provided us with the second fridge and extra bedrooms a big group needs.

Alaska vacation

I booked this property for our very large family to stay during our vacation. Aprille was more than accommodating. She lent us a pack-n-play for use during our stay. She also came over to introduce herself and provided recommendations for attractions, activities and food nearby. Highly recommend if you are staying with a big group.

Roberts Family Reunion June 2022

We had a FABULOUS family reunion experience in Alaska and we are “over the moon” happy about the accommodations at the Chugiak house! We slept 24 in the 3 buildings, 2 in a tent and a few more in RVs in the driveway! The houses were clean and all beds/couches were very comfortable. The side yard, back porch gas pit, fire pit and hot tubs provided great opportunities for our large 4-generation group to mingle and play games. The washers/dryers in the main house and the chalet served us well. The kids loved the swings and sandbox. Aprille was wonderful to work with throughout the planning and the stay - even provided a child gate upon request at the last minute. While we originally expected to put 1- 2 RVs in the driveway, when my Alaskan cousins put 2 more on site, Aprille was cool with it!! The only drawback we experienced was traffic flow through the kitchen in the main house -because the refrigerator opens at the end of the counter/island. A minor inconvenience in the big picture. 😊 We had great weather, but when not outside, the TVs and game room downstairs were used frequently. We pulled out and used the kiddie pool under the garage deck and also enjoyed the open swim at Chugiak High School - walking distance from the house! I would highly recommend this rental to others!

Great family property

Aprille was a fantastic host as she was extremely easy to work with and excellent at communicating. The cabin and separate chalet were more room than our group of 9 needed, but allowed our 2 and 4 yr old grandchildren and their parents to have some privacy. Everything about the experience was awesome!

Family/Business group

We have a family owned small business, and selected this property for it's size, entertainment options, location and availability of 2 separate accommodations. We were not disappointed. The kids all had a great time playing with each other, and it had enough separate areas that we could get away for our meeting, and the older teens could also do teen stuff while the littles could play elsewhere. I can't say a lot on the yard as it was wintertime when we were there, but as far as I could tell it seemed like it was well taken care of and would be a fun place to hang out in warmer times of the year. Aprille, our host communicated very well with us, and although we didn't have any problems needing her attention, she seemed ready and willing to take care of our needs. I highly recommend this location to anyone with a larger gathering in need of beds and space in a quiet area near Anchorage.

Coziest cabin in Alaska!

We stayed at this cabin for 3 nights with a group of friends and had so much fun! The cabin was really cozy and we loved hanging out in the main living area. It was the perfect amount of space for all of us and the jacuzzi was a plus. The large backyard was also a plus and gave us a fun space to build an igloo, have a snowball fight, go sledding, etc. The location was good as well as it was central to a lot of what Alaska has to offer. We absolutely loved the cabin and hope to have the opportunity to stay there again.

Amazing cabin!

Host was very quick at responding to any questions! Cute and cozy cabin that accommodated our large group. Was a lovely weekend catching up with friends, enjoying the hot tub and backyard fire pit. Close to many different activites. We look forward to booking this place again. There arent very many VRBO's that have this many beds, or have a hot tub available.

Cozy home for family or group stay

We had a school group of four adults and 17 high school students stay at this beautiful property. Aprille was amazing at communicating with us leading up to and during our stay. We had everything to make us comfortable. The beds are great and the sheets were fabulous! I would highly recommend this home again and again.
