My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon, and it was absolutely perfect! Such a cute little place with great access to the lake and hiking trails. Didn’t want to leave, and already trying to make plans to go back someday.

My husband and I stayed here for our 10 year wedding anniversary. I just wanted to find somewhere near some good hiking spots and a place with a hottub. Once I saw it was pet friendly, we were so excited and decided to bring our dog along with us. Check in was a breeze and we were even able to check in a few hours early! The home was clean and SOOO stinking cute! It was the perfect size for us and it was in the perfect spot. We were able to make grocery stops, find great hiking spots and loved being close to town so we could support local. I would absolutely stay again and refer friends and family as well.

We would definitely stay at "The Little Black Cottage" again. It was absolutely wonderful experience for my husband and I.The location was perfect. Trees everywhere.......We even spotted a turkey a time or two. :)Lastly, it did our hearts good to see Chimney Rock and Lake Lure being cared for by so many.
We spotted this cross in the riverbed at Chimney Rock........Powerful!
