About this property
Cosy Hunter Valley Cottage · Hot Tub · BBQ Veranda · Pet-Friendly
Escape the city and soak up the sun in Hunter Valley wine country.
A pet-friendly 3-bedroom cottage sleeping up to 6 - spend your afternoons tasting local wines, fire up the BBQ for an alfresco meal on the veranda, then soak in the private hot tub under a starry sky.
Hot tub · Aircon · Full kitchen · Veranda & BBQ · Indoor & outdoor fireplaces · Self check-in · Entire home
A 10-minute walk into the CBD, short drive to Pokolbin & Lovedale. World-class wineries, long lunches & slow evenings in.
THE SPACE Step outside onto the veranda on a sun-drenched Hunter Valley morning with your coffee and watch kangaroos grazing out front. Come evening, fire up the BBQ for an outdoor feast, then into the private hot tub under a clear, starry sky. Open a crisp local wine and let the breeze in.
Air conditioning in the living room takes the sting out of a hot Hunter afternoon - the natural place to land between lunch and dinner. Timber floors, a deep sofa, and a smart TV when you want it. A gas fireplace is there for cooler evenings.
The kitchen is open, bright, and fully equipped for everything from slow weekend breakfasts to shared dinners. A 5-burner gas stove, extra-large oven, generous island bench, and Lavazza coffee machine are all at your disposal.
Three calm, uncluttered bedrooms, each with ceiling fans, are designed with rest in mind: · Bedroom 1 — Queen bed · Bedroom 2 — Queen bed · Bedroom 3 — Two king single beds
All rooms have quality linen and comfortable beds. One bedroom includes a dedicated workspace for those who need to stay connected.
The bathroom is modern and fresh, with a spacious walk-in shower. There's a separate WC as well, so six people aren't queuing for one door. An outdoor shower makes it easy to rinse off after the hot tub or a day at Newcastle's beaches.
— OUTSIDE —
The covered veranda is set up for alfresco dining with a BBQ overlooking the lawn. An outdoor fireplace keeps the evenings going once the sun's gone. The private hot tub sits just off the deck - best after sunset, once the day cools off. A rope swing in the backyard for the adventurous types.
— PETS —
Well-behaved dogs are welcome. The property suits dogs accustomed to indoor living. Pets must not be left unattended or on furniture.

About the host
Hosted by Lewis Wilkinson
Sydney-based couple who like to get out of the city when we can. We’re thoughtful, responsive hosts and happy to help if needed, while respecting your space.
Why they chose this property
Like many, we wanted to create a place to step away from city life, somewhere slower, quieter, and grounded. As amateur wine tasters and regular visitors to the Hunter, we’ve shaped this home as a relaxed base for exploring local wineries, long lunches, and unhurried days.
What makes this property unique
We have kept its 1900s cottage style charm whilst refreshing it for today's tastes.
