About this property
Graceys Beach House North facing Coastal Calm
Gracey’s at Bruny Island is a soft-minimal haven made for slow days and sea air. With its timber frame and open flow, the home blurs the line between shelter and seascape, every window angled toward sweeping channel views at the edge of Nebraska Beach. Inside, light, texture, and air create a gentle stillness, with the kitchen and living space drawing your gaze to the shifting horizon. Here, days unfold over lingering coffee, shoreline walks, and the quiet rhythm of tide and breeze.
This experience-led coastal retreat unfolds with quiet ease, shaped by timber, dappled light, and the rhythm of the sea. Every space feels intentional yet unforced, designed for slow mornings, shared meals, and an unhurried connection to the surrounding landscape.
From the driveway, stairs lead to a light-filled interior where the kitchen, dining, and lounge merge in one flowing space. Floor-to-ceiling glass draws the outdoors into view, while a wood-burning fireplace brings warmth and comfort on cooler nights. The open kitchen keeps conversation moving easily and is equipped with an oven, microwave, Nespresso machine, and thoughtful details that make self-catering feel effortless.
Beyond the living area, a broad north-facing deck captures sunlight throughout the day and frames sweeping views of the channel. It is a natural gathering point, perfect for reading in the afternoon, enjoying a barbecue in the sea air, or watching the sky soften over the water.
A short flight of stairs from the kitchen leads to the bedrooms. The main bedroom, set with a queen bed, opens directly to the deck where morning light filters in and the sea feels within reach. The second bedroom includes two single beds, while the bathroom and laundry are fresh, functional, and well considered, with a separate water closet for added convenience.
Parking is provided on the driveway.
During your stay, you and your group will have the entire cottage to yourselves. Please make yourselves at home!
Nestled at the northern tip of Bruny Island, Dennes Point is a quiet coastal enclave where time moves to the rhythm of tide and light. From the house, stroll across to Nebraska Beach for a morning swim or gentle walk along the sand, the water often calm enough to reflect the sky. Just a few minutes away, the Dennes Point Café and Art Gallery pairs local produce with bay views, while nearby farm gates and wineries showcase the island’s creative, slow-living spirit.
Adventure Bay and The Neck lookout are an easy drive south, offering iconic walks, sweeping vistas, and wildlife spotting. Return home along winding roads lined with eucalypts and sea glimpses, where evenings are best spent watching the last light fade over the channel. This is Bruny at its most peaceful—simple, scenic, and deeply restorative.
Due to local regulations, we can happily host you for up to 90 nights. Any bookings that exceed this duration will be cancelled by Vrbo.
Stairs are required to access the property from the driveway, and an additional four steps lead from the main living area to the bedrooms. Guests should note that this home may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties, and children will need to be supervised around the stair areas.
This property is not suitable for infants and young children due to its elevated position, multiple staircases, and high deck area that may present safety concerns.
