The communication from the host was excellent matched with the location and accurate property description. We had an excellent time at the property with Quarantine Bay nearby. Facilities within the property are good with nice comfortable beds, heating via air conditioning and wood stove.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay, it felt like a familiar cozy home with beautiful nature and wildlife
Very secluded property. Clean, with all the facilities you would need for a week or month. Bush setting with access to bay for canoeing or small boat. Highly recommend.
The property was just what we wanted and exactly as described. Secluded, set amongst nature yet an easy drive from the ferry and to other parts of the island. We had a wonderful few days visiting and would definitely look to book here again when we return to Bruny.
The scenery surrounding this property is just breathtaking. We had a very wonderful time during our stay and get to meet the friendly quolls and wallabies.
Great place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet with the birds chirping in the background. We love the view though the trees of the bay and would stay again if we go back to Bruning Island.

A wonderfully comfortable and very well presented piece of serenity! Absolutely loved it! Will be back!
This was our 5th stay here. That says it all. No neighbours, bush, water, peace, wildlife, ideal position.
If you want peace, relaxation, bush walks, wildlife this is your piece of heaven.
This is my third visit to Bruny Island from the UK. What a magical place this cabin is. Peaceful, seemingly isolated and with great birdwatching. Very well equipped. Thank you.
It is a beautiful place to stay so so quite and the nature of animals running around the house.
Very clean you have everything you need here. You can go down to the water and have a feed of mussels and oysters.
The wild life is amazing the day we turn up there was a encinda walking right pass the back deck.
Make sure you have your dogs tied up so they don't chase the wildlife. We had the best time there.
Well equipped, even had an air fryer, comfy beds, fabulous shower, brilliant wood heater. This was our 3rd stay here. Looking forward to coming back, our fur baby loved the outdoors. Very private with a great outlook.
Excellent hideaway in the bush overlooking Quarantine Bay. The home has everything you need plus more. Very clean & comfortable. Will definitely recommend this home.tfriends

Getting there
Found the dirt roads and signage confusing and the numbering on the property was not clear from the road. Access to property entrance was poor from the road but the driveway was acceptable. Everything else was fabulous and we enjoyed our stay.
Really sorry that we could only stay for four days. Had a great time relaxing and watching the boats come and go out of Quarantine Bay. Will definitely return.
This property is just beautiful. Perfect location in a private setting. Stunning views across the water. Lots to do and see on this Island. I recommend it to everyone looking for a great escape. House is extremely comfortable and clean.
We love staying at this property.
It is our perfect getaway spot. Once we arrive we do not leave until checkout date.
This property has everything we need to stop, relax and enjoy.
Buddy loves the water being at his doorstep, as do we.
Highly recommend this property

About the host
Hosted by Paul Riseley
Married couple with 3 boys and 3 grandsons. Live in Kingston Tasmania and of course love holidaying on Bruny Island
Why they chose this property
My Parents purchased this beautiful piece of Bruny and built their dream home. Karen and I purchased the property from them to keep the property in the family. For us arriving at the ferry terminal is a time to relax and get excited to be visiting the hideaway. We love sharing all the property has to offer with others.
What makes this property unique
300 meters of water frontage, private block on 5 acres of bush adjacent to Marks Point Reserve. Launch a boat or kayak directly from the property. Excellent shore or boat fishing. Oysters in abundance. Large living area with water facing views leading onto a large deck with comfortable outdoor furniture either side of the house. Trails and tracks to explore, ride a bike or stroll. The bush setting attracts many native animals. We pride ourselves on being super clean and doing what we can to ensure our guests have the best possible Bruny experience.
