My check-in was delayed because i didn’t receive instructions prior to my arrival. When we entered the home for a walk-through prior to bringing our bags in we quickly noticed that the house was not clean. There were multiple hairs, long and short in the guest bathroom sink. The master bathroom faucet was not cleaned and appeared to have toothpaste on it. The kitchen floor was not swept at all and the living room rug was not vacuumed. When i contacted the owner about the many issues she asked for pictures and videos and I quickly provided them. She then responded with a text saying “ Ok today I personally examined this property before check in. I know for a fact that the kitchen floor was spotless (debris has to be brung in by you) and the front bathroom sink was cleaned. The small toothpaste could have been missed… things were definitely added to exaggerate the situation”. After reading this message I was completely shocked that the owner accused me of bringing “debris” in the home after only being there for 10 minutes. I immediately contacted VRBO, requested a full refund and left the premises.
