WHY GUESTS LOVE LOON LODGE
"Loon Lodge sits right at the water's edge on one of the most beautiful and peaceful lakes on the Bruce Peninsula. The cottage is designed around the view -- dramatic floor-to-ceiling picture windows flood every room with natural light and frame breathtaking panoramas of Miller Lake from both levels. Whether you are cooking breakfast, relaxing in one of the two living areas, or sitting at the dining table for an evening meal, the lake is always right there with you."
"The location is extraordinary. Minutes from Tobermory, Bruce Peninsula National Park, the Bruce Trail, Fathom Five National Marine Park, and Lion's Head -- all while enjoying the peace and privacy of a true lakeside retreat."
THE COTTAGE
Loon Lodge is a beautifully appointed two-level, 2,000 square foot waterfront cottage on a large, shaded, grassy lot at the water's edge. The upper level features the main living area, kitchen, dining area, two bedrooms, and full bathroom -- all with stunning lake views. The lower level offers two additional bedrooms, full bathroom, second living area, and direct walkout access to the lower deck and waterfront.

BATHROOMS
Two full bathrooms with walk-in shower -- one on each level -- comfortably accommodate your group throughout your stay with no morning bottlenecks before a big day of adventure.
TWO LIVING AREAS
Upper Level Living Room: The heart of the cottage. A warm gathering space surrounded by large picture windows with stunning lake views. Perfect for morning coffee, evening wine, board games on a rainy afternoon, or simply watching the loons drift past on the water below.
Lower Level Living Room: A second comfortable retreat with TV and direct walkout access to the lower deck and waterfront. Ideal for kids who want their own space, or simply extra room when the whole group is together.
KITCHEN AND DINING
The fully equipped kitchen has every pot, pan, dish, and utensil you need. The dining area sits beside panoramic windows overlooking Miller Lake -- making every meal a scenic experience. When the weather is perfect, take everything outside to the wraparound deck for dining with the lake as your backdrop.
THE WRAPAROUND DECK WITH GLASS RAILINGS
The large wraparound deck with glass railings is one of the most loved features of Loon Lodge. The glass railings keep views completely unobstructed from every seat -- nothing between you and that incredible panorama of lake, sky, and forest. Generously sized with room for outdoor dining and lounging. It wraps around the cottage giving different vantage points throughout the day. This is where morning coffees are savoured, evening drinks stretch late into the night, and the most memorable cottage conversations happen.
THE WATERFRONT AND DOCK
A private dock provides direct access to Miller Lake for swimming and boating. The shoreline features a rocky edge with a sandy bottom -- wonderful for swimming off the dock. Water is very shallow close to shore at 1 to 3 feet, making it safe for families with young children.
The dock accommodates canoes, kayaks, small sailboats, and jet skis. Small motorized boats are possible but guests should be mindful of very shallow water and rocks near shore -- dock at your own risk.
A canoe is included with your rental. Morning paddles on a glassy lake with mist still rising off the water are among the most magical experiences the Bruce Peninsula has to offer -- available every morning right from your own dock.
THE LAKESIDE FIRE PIT
As the sun goes down and stars appear over the Bruce Peninsula, gather around the lakeside fire pit steps from the water's edge. Roast marshmallows, share stories, and watch the flames reflect on the still lake. Listen to the loons call across the water in the darkness. There is nothing more quintessentially Canadian cottage than a lakeside fire under a sky full of stars -- and at Loon Lodge it is yours every evening.
WALKING DISTANCE TO SUMMER HOUSE PARK
Within walking distance of Summer House Park, offering boat rentals to explore Miller Lake by motorboat, a convenience store for forgotten essentials, an ice cream and coffee shop for your daily cottage ritual, and a restaurant and pizza shop for days when you want some time off from cooking.
EXPLORE THE BRUCE PENINSULA
Tobermory is minutes away -- explore the turquoise waters and famous shipwrecks of Fathom Five National Marine Park, take a glass-bottom boat tour, or browse the charming harbour shops and restaurants.
Bruce Peninsula National Park offers dramatic hiking through ancient cedar forests to clifftop views over Georgian Bay. The Grotto -- a stunning sea cave above turquoise water -- is one of Ontario's most photographed natural wonders and a must-visit during your stay.
The Bruce Trail runs through the area with hiking for every level from easy family walks to full-day wilderness adventures.
Lion's Head is another charming nearby town with a sandy beach, grocery stores, restaurants, boutiques for everything you need during your stay.
Georgian Bay and Lake Huron offer world-class swimming, kayaking, and scenery just a short drive away.
