For warmer evenings, the apartment is fully air‑conditioned with split systems to keep every room comfortable year‑round.
Both bedrooms overlook the gardens and valley, offering peaceful views to wake up to each morning. About the host
Hosted by Loren Livingston
Hi, I'm Loren – welcome!
My husband and I love sharing this special Healesville home with guests who want to relax, reconnect with nature, and enjoy everything the Yarra Valley has to offer. Hosting is something we genuinely enjoy because it allows us to create a space where people can slow down, breathe, and make memories.
As a family, we’re very connected to the outdoors. We have two boys who absolutely love mountain bike riding and spending time in the bush, always eager to test out their scouting skills. We often find them exploring trails, building little camps, or discovering something new in nature.
For me, one of my favourite weekly rituals apart from enjoying breakfast in town on the weekend is participating in the Maroondah Dam parkrun. It’s such a beautiful way to start the weekend and a reminder of how lucky we are to have this incredible landscape right on our doorstep.
Our aim as hosts is simple: to provide a comfortable, beautifully maintained space where you can truly unwind — whether that’s enjoying a glass of local wine on the deck, spending time with family, or exploring the region’s wineries, walking trails, and wildlife experiences.
We’re always happy to share local knowledge to help make your stay enjoyable, memorable, and perfectly tailored to what you love.
Please reach out with any questions you may have.
We look forward to hosting you soon.
Why they chose this property
🌿 Why We Chose Healesville
Life moves fast these days. We rush from one commitment to the next, constantly surrounded by noise, screens, and schedules. In all that busyness, it’s easy to forget the basics — stepping outside, breathing fresh air, and reconnecting with family and nature. That simple grounding can shift everything, yet we often overlook it.
Healesville is the kind of place that brings you back to that feeling instantly, it's big enough to have all conveniences at your fingertips yet small enough to retain that big country town vibe.
We chose this area because it offers the perfect balance between peaceful escape and easy convenience. It’s far enough from the CBD that you immediately feel the change of pace — the air is clearer, the landscape opens up, and nature becomes part of your everyday rhythm. Towering gums, rolling hills, native wildlife, and the calm of the Yarra Valley create a setting that naturally encourages you to slow down and reset.
Yet despite feeling worlds away, Healesville is still wonderfully accessible. At just around a 1 hour and 20 minute drive from Melbourne, it’s close enough for a spontaneous getaway or a much‑needed mid‑week break. And once you arrive, you’re only a 5‑minute ride into town, making it effortless to enjoy local cafés, wineries, shops, and the iconic Healesville Sanctuary and Blueberry Farm.
We chose this area because it gives people the chance to reconnect with what matters: nature, stillness, and each other. Whether you’re exploring the valley, wandering through forest trails, visiting local producers, or simply sitting outside with a cup of coffee listening to the birds, Healesville has a way of grounding you without you even trying.
It’s a place to pause. A place to breathe. A place to feel human again.
And that’s why we chose it.
